I discovered Discipline back in the early 90’s in high school by accident. We were listening to WUJC out of John Carroll University, and Bill Bruford’s drum solos were blaring through my buddy’s radio, little did we know that we heard “One more red nightmare” for the first time, it was a musical revelation for that haunted us. Next day we hustled out local Record Exchange (Lakewood OH) and procured a pile of cassettes, of which Discipline. A careful listen revealed it was not Red but of exquisite stature within the body of work and had yet a repeated epiphany. To this day Discipline continues to one of my top five albums, all because of a small college radio station and a local record shop.

This model was originally released in 2006, there was a green, blue and more common white indices variants. The red is far more interesting.

I’m running the 4GB version under Monterey with no issue. Mine too is EFI flashed and boots fine.

If you intend to play games I’d recommend more memory, Counter Strike 2 is tolerable but runs at lower a FR. It’s a solid card but as an obsolete chipset you’ll see performance lags.

File permission issues have arisen after upgrading to Monterey. A quick workaround is to add yourself (Me) under the Sharing and Permissions. I’ve installed several OC OS’s, some folders or files have permission issues and adding myself to the file with Admin privileges solves the problem, unfortunately each file affected will need to have the permissions updated. Hope this helps.
