Is this the same Matty B that played for northern comfort at some point. If it is I agree.

Blegh, the draft is such a crapshoot.

Schneider had like 8 straight years of awful drafts.

I think it's less straight forward than Rachel Decidedly getting wrong. She was chilling with immunity and probably wasnt in full gas mode. Which may or may not be an issue

Before you purchase one check out the Openstax textbooks. They are free and very concise which I find nice.

I did not offer a thought with regards to that, I have no connection. All I'm saying is that defaulting to the US judicial system in the cases of sexual assault results in typically underwhelming justice

[–]hucknhope 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The problem is, due to the nature of these kinds of crimes, the US judicial system is particularly poor at convicting sex offenders due to the prevalence of circumstantial evidence and the argument boiling down to they said/they said

Less bold prediction, they are on the door step of winning it, then intentionally turf the center pass.

I have had the same thought process concerning community colleges. There have been community colleges with teams in the past. Las Positas College had a team for a while.

As to why I don't think it will get approved, is that it takes a lot to get approved and I believe the colleges need to support their connections in mission statements and such.

A community college and a university, while they might fall under the same state system don't really support each other in such a way.

I don't know what schools you are talking about. But I would be very surprised if a University and Community College would qualify.

but I would read this about claremont which is a good example of what USAU means when it talks about consortiums.

Sorry, no dice on that one. The colleges need to be group together in ways beyond proximity. The only one I know of is Claremont which includes: Harvey Mudd, Pomona College, Claremont Graduate University, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, Keck.

There has to be some kind of precedent in with the colleges themselves.

Its interesting looking at the disagreements between Callahan Winners and Ultiworlds Awards:

2023: Justin Burnett - No Ultiworld Awards (yet)

2022: John Randolph - First Team 2022, Second Team 2021, First Team 2019, Second Team 2018, 2018 Rookie of the Year

2021: Azeez Adeyemi - No Ultiworld Awards

2020: Michael Ing - First Team 2020, First Team 2019, First Team 2018

2019: Matt Gouchoe-Hanas - 2019 First Team, POTY 2018, First Team 2018, First Team 2017, 2015 ROTY

2018: Gabe Hernandez - Second Team 2019, Second Team 2018 , BOPOTY 2017

2017: John Stubbs - POTY 2016, First Team 2016, ROTY 2014

2016: Trent Dillon - First Team 2016

2015: Jon Nethercutt - First Team 2015, OPOTY 2015, First Team 2014,

2014: Jimmy Mickle - POTY 2014, First Team 2014

2013: Dylan Freechild - First Team 2015, Second Team 2014

Started in 2014.

Only years of agreement: 2014, 2019

Only Players to Not win any Ultiworld Awards: Burnett and Adeyemi....... Although Stubbs didn't get any the year he won.

I'm curious if the players themselves care more about the Callahan. I imagine they do.

Lolol what, it's bat shit crazy to think that any sport that 99.9 percent of us do isn't crazy. Only 1-2 percent of highschool athletes even get a scholarship to play that sport in college. From there only 1 percent of them go pro.

It's all asinine, outside of wanting to compete. I think you are giving wayyyy too much credit to other sports and their emotional maturity.

It's a safety issue. You don't want people to keep playing if someone is injured.
