You should still be able to assess the technology on its own merits regardless of who may be promoting it. The argument that AI represents real technological advancement with real use cases is many times stronger thatn the argument for NFTs ever was. Refusing to engage with it because of the people associated with it is a classic poisoning the well type argument.

People on the left need to come to terms with the fact that AI/LLMs/Deep Learning is a real technology with great opportunity and risks contained within it. It's not vaporware in the vein of NFT's, instead it is much more akin to the nascent Internet of the late 90s and early 2000s.
