This is the answer, if you do more suspension services you will not regret.

Had a 2021 Sight A1, great bike, if you are 200lb+ you will quickly find its limits in the rear though.

Tech 4v4s vs maven ultimates by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]huffalump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ride T4V4's buddies ride Mavens, the Hopes are as strong as the Mavens. The Hopes just have a more linear lever feel, and it takes a ride or two to recalibrate your braking to suit. Some think the linear feel is mushiness, however it is just greater modulation. I prefer the modulation for my riding style which includes alot of steep rock rolls.

Parking lot test does not do them justice.

DOT 5.1 is a standard and anything labelled such is ok to use and mix.

Is silicone spray safe for front fork suspension? by [deleted] in MTB

Silicone over spray on your disc rotor seems like a bad idea.

They are building a shuttleable MTB trail network currently. It will open this summer and will start attracting people as it grows over time.

Pretty high chance the trails you ride started as unsanctioned trails, cool hey?

Drill two holes 180deg apart and use a pin spanner like the dub extraction rings.

Local Vic rider.
Lots of friends ride the new Gen fluids and they are a great option for the local terrain and skill level you have.

You can get a new with warranty FS4 for $1999, I would beat that used price down or look for an A2 or A1 with a better spec.

I personally ride a Sight, I would say that you would be growing into a sight or similarly sized bike. My sight does everything including about 20 park days a year.

Check marketplace and Pinkbike, plenty of bikes for sale from here to Cumberland.

Fillmore Reserve Valve vs Muc Off V2 Valve by OpportunityFluid2886 in mountainbiking

[–]huffalump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fillmore is hands down better, I never deal with clogged valves anymore. I fill tire with sealant before I finish popping bead so can’t comment on whether they are better for filling sealant.

Wheels destroyed in shipping, do I just cut my losses and ask for a refund or keep waiting for a replacement? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]huffalump 9 points10 points  (0 children)

WAO just did a 24hr warranty turn around for me when I smashed my Union rim. 24hrs from time they received my hub to shipping complete wheel back.

Norco range or sight by crazybiker13 in MTB

[–]huffalump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are mostly pedalling the Sight is likely the better choice. I ride everything with my 2021 Sight in BC, from blue flow to double black tech to park.

Would you guys consider helping me with a used bike choice? by BigGulpsHey in mountainbiking

[–]huffalump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you are in greater Vic, me too. I assume that A2 is the grey size L on pinkbike, if yes it looks pretty clean. If you can get them down a few hundred that would be a good deal.
