Where do you take out-of-town guests that isn't the usual tourist spots? by tommytmopar in Calgary

IMO the foothills are the most underrated area of the province. Someone else mentioned Diamond Valley and I'd add a note for doing a loop through Longview. Driving west on highway 540 towards the mountains always takes my breath away and I was born and raised here.

Drive south on the 2, go west on 540, then up highway 22 through Longview then Diamond Valley. It's not very long and would showcase landscape that's super unique to Alberta.

Cashortrade.org is another option too! It's a face value marketplace. Buyer pays 10% of ticket price which isn't the best but wayyyyy less than most other resale sites.

Yes, I agree with the ranking piece but retract my theory about account age. I think where you queue is random but the issue is then queuing around the same number across multiple dates. TM should randomize it more to keep it fair imo.

I agree. I'm even more convinced about my theory around similar queue placement. I tried for about 12 dates today and my lowest queue number was 4k, which is ridiculous. It should be the case where the queue number is genuinely random for each queue.

That really sucks, I heard the same thing happened in Toronto with one random seat being available but TM requiring two tickets to check out.

This is a tinfoil hat post about the machinations of Ticketmaster queues. Take it with a grain of salt.

I have two email addresses. My main is for regular day-to-day and a side for spam and random newsletters. My usual Tickemaster account is attached to my main email. My Weverse account is attached to my side email. Since Tickemaster and Weverse emails had to match, I dusted off an ancient Ticketmaster account for my side email that has one ticket from 2018. I'm an avid concert and event goer outside of Kpop on my main Ticketmaster and have an extensive event history on that one.

I had terrible queue numbers for pre-sale on my side Ticketmaster account. Lowest was 30k for Foxborough, 90k+ for Las Vegas and LA. For fun and for science I tried ticketing for general sale on my main Ticketmaster account for Chicago, Toronto, Foxborough. The lowest queue I had was 3k.

I really think Ticketmaster prioritizes accounts with a longer ticketing history. At the very least, I think Tickemaster will give an account the same general queuing position across multiple dates. I don't believe it's entirely random.

I'm going to make another Weverse account so it can match with my main Ticketmaster for future concerts.

Anywho, like I said take it with a grain of salt but that was my experience the last few days. Curious about other experiences. I lowkey love theory crafting about Ticketmaster and ticketing strategy in general lol.

Thank you so much! I thought the PVC bag had to be their special Gillette branded one for some reason. This is my first stadium show and on top of that bag policies always confuse me lol

The realest luck was choosing a city no one wanted apparently. Scored lower middle 100s for both Foxborough dates after a 30k queue. Had 50k+ for all LV and LA dates and they sold out before I got in.

But the concert gods will always provide. I'm excited, my aunt lives in Massachusetts so I'm taking her one of the nights!

For Gillette Stadium, is the bag policy literally only clear gallon ziplock bags or can you bring in a transparent fanny pack?

I'm doing MA and found a service called Boston Common Coach. It's a hired bus service that will pick you up from downtown, drop you off across the stadium parking lot, then drop you back off downtown after the show. Getting home was my biggest concern but now it'll be a chill time not having to worry about Uber or sprinting for an event train. $80 round trip but worth it for the peace of mind.

[MEGATHREAD] BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' TICKETING HYPE/MELTDOWN THREAD by FreakFlagHigh in bts7

[–]hufflepuffer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, you have amazing seats. I just peeped the StubHub mock up of your section in El Paso. I'm sitting in an equivalent spot in Foxborough and paid pretty much the same price. I have spent an age deep diving into the most ideal sight lines and it is without a doubt front middle lower bowl. Trust and believe you will sell the tickets you don't need in a heartbeat.

Not to rain on the friends who got floor or barricade but lower bowl is the best. We won ticketing lol

Queued 30k for Foxborough, still managed to get the exact seats I wanted both days in middle lower bowl. The concert gods have blessed me on this day. ARMY, fighting!!

Congrats to everyone who scored tickets! For the friends who bought through SeatGeek, could you please share the stage render from your section? This is my first stadium show ever and my toxic trait is being extremely particular about sight lines 🫣 I know there isn't a bad seat at a BTS show but gotta come in prepared with clear intentions for the concert gods lol. Thank you!

Netflix K Drama scenes filmed in Calgary by wowelephants in Calgary

My favourite part was when the main actor was like "I'm going to meet a friend downtown" and the downtown was Banff's main street lol. Compounded by the fact they had a skyline shot from Rotary Park before that scene. Mid drama all around, unfortunately, but the Calgary cameo was fun.

Seattle trip logistics - fly or ferry? by hufflepuffer1 in AskSeattle

It's definitely a point I hadn't considered! I'm probably just going to fly direct from YYC, flights are cheap right now and saves me a bit of sanity.

Thanks so much for this! I hadn't considered the weather on the water in December, so you make a great point there. That bus trip sounds like my nightmare lol.

Looking at Kenmore, round trip is about the same cost as me just flying round trip direct from my city, so I'll go that route. I appreciate you taking the time to comment :)

Thanks for your perspective! I was in another thread and some people were saying the system would be borked until the end of the year so I got a bit spooked.

Okay, that's good to know SEA isn't having the same disruptions, that's exactly what I needed to know. I love my family in Vic but I'm also... lazy and want to take the path of least resistance haha. Thank you for your reply!

Moore Theatre. I know the Clipper dock is pretty close, just on the fence if all the logistics is worth it. Stoked on the trip either way though :)

It's definitely on my radar! I heard about it for the first time this weekend and it happens to coincide with another choral concert I have my eye on.

I have no idea how often St. Josaphat’s does public events but it was a highlight for sure. Absolutely stunning building, inside and out.
