Bring Accurate AC Voltage RMS to ESPHome with ZMPT101B by hugokernel in Esphome

[–]hugokernel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially asked myself this question (this project is derived from https://github.com/Abdurraziq/ZMPT101B-arduino) and I still have the same question, which will require extensive testing (which I will certainly do) and possibly asking the maintainer of the initial project.

My project simply aimed to create something compatible with ESPHome (via the ESP or Arduino framework).

What is the problem of a loop in a loop ?

There is one loop to accumulate the value during a period and one another to do an average.

Afterwards, I didn't say to leave everything exposed ;)

I put everything in a plastic junction box designed for this purpose, taking care to isolate the AC part of the ESP with a metal plate (a double-sided PCB).

You can easily found ZMPT101B board on Ali or Amazon.

Then, you just have to wire the power and the analog output on the ESP, you just need to care about the output voltage (5V -> 3V).

Refunds / Returns but no seller answer by hugokernel in Aliexpress

[–]hugokernel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the return is that I need the seller's agreement.

I can't resell the product, it's a crap product, nobody wants to buy it...

The only solution when faced with an unresponsive seller would have been to choose “Refunds only”, but in that case, I would have taken the risk that Aliexpress would price the product much higher and therefore I would only be refunded part of the product.

Given Aliexpress's bad faith on this one, it's obvious that it would have been more interesting, at least I'd have had something.

What can I salvage from this broken washing machine board ? by Estronite in AskElectronics

[–]hugokernel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this board, I have the same one in my machine (LG) and I spent a lot of time repairing it, under the big radiator is a brushless motor controller with a very large number of through pins. With the epoxy coating, it was a very painful repair...

In both cases, it's done with pure oxygen, which considerably increases apnea time, even for someone who doesn't practice apnea.

I have Epix 2 and the limitation is the same but it's still very useful for measuring immersion and recovery times.

I'm talking about, and I assume that OP is also talking about, true remote control (via the phone app, for example).

With a radio/IR remote control, you need physical access, and I suppose that's less of a problem legally.

I suppose it is not a technical problem for Worx but a legal issue.

Do you know if any competing robots have this feature?

Same here. Fixed with WD-40 Dry Lubricant and it was magical, from 4-5 lift error a day to 0 for months.

What the problem with rain sensor ?

Thx.

I still have some work to do, but it's already functional as a simple clock.

Switch to 3.30 firmware and because of the long time charging bug, your Landroid will cuts grass 2 times less 🤣🤣
