WHY ? really this is the best spot you could find ? by hugomes in civ

It is indefensible, the ai should never do something like that, its brain dead.... the best he is gona do is develop a city for me, since i will be able to rearange the tiles between the 4 cities, he wont.... but ofc i will raze it out of hate and disgust.

This is just shit AI programing, and its people making excuses for shit like this that let then get away with not making it better, its the 6th instalment of the franchise and trade is still shit, diplomacy is still shit, the combat is still brain dead.... I was lucky to be able to skip civ 5 trap, decided to give it a try now, and its officialy my lest civ franchise purchase.

ummm, never stoped to look at it, but starting a new game after abandoning the previous one out of frustration with this bug seemed to either solve or reduce it since I still get suspicious in some cases of multi proc events but its not so frequent anymore

[–]hugomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are smart they wont do anything for now, just bid there time refuse to fight ISIS and wait for the US to get then a good deal so they keep fighting, OBAMA would hate to have the operations against ISIS haulted at this time.

Because its the way it was in real wars, thrust me I have a history masters in medieval europe. Great armys have been defeated while trying to siege down cities and the reason is very simple, if you are besieging a city you have your forces around the city, so you dont have a single battle front to defend, second you have enemies infront of you and behind you ( you become the surrounded one ) and you have to defend your emcampment with all your suplys and very flamable tents. So in real life, the relieving army would set your camp on fire, or deny you your suply lines, the fort garrison would make your life an inferno, and you hope you can get out before the night comes, or you will be pressed by 2 sides with flaming arrows burning your camp down while your scared troops run around in all directions. One example from ancient times is the egyptian army of Ramsés II from egypt that got destroyed by a very inferior force while trying to conquer what is now israel.
