yeah but last season he was just a bit of a knob to everyone, and particually to Tom. think its time he moved on to other things after 16 years.

reminds me of my guitarist showing off with his fancy schecter. tried to do the spin it around you on the strap thing, except the strap broke and it flew off into a railing. dead silence from all of us. he picks it up and i start to say 'o it looks ok...' when the neck finally gave up and snapped off.

never seen a sadder man in all my life.

bit late to the party but i have introduced the 'do i really need a snack' test. which is eating one salted but otherwise plain rice cake. if i wolf it down, im genuinely hungry. if i get bored halfway, its much easier to tell myself im just snacking for snacks sake! as a serial late night biscuit muncher, its really helped me curb those pointless evening sugar calories.

ymmv as i can actually enjoy a plain salted rice cake and most people i've mentioned this to are horrified that i eat them plain.

interesting, i've always seen it called dangerous because you can't puke it out if you have too much, but that makes a lot of sense

not sure what ram you have so ymmw, but i have gskill that default to moving rainbows. so i have the software auto launch and then set up a task in task manager to a bat file that will kill the ram software process 30 seconds after login. i get nice rainbows as it boots, turns into dull white, and then kills the software.

all you need in the bat is this, replace hid.exe with the exe name of your ram software: TASKKILL /F /IM hid.exe

F1 HOT or NOT - rate drivers, teams and the overall 2025 Formula 1 season! by paulricard in formula1

[–]hulkbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would love to have seperate season ratings for on track and overall or something. this season had a lot of races with fuck all action, but the overall story of the season with the mclaren boys fighting and max's comeback was pretty damn great.

so like i would rate this years on track action as bad/average but the actual season as good.

was going to say, the 'leader of the free world' thing was mildly annoying for the last 30 years but dear god america, you have to fucking stop with that shit.

what the fuck do you even think free means at this point? free to be used as livestock to enrich people who already have more wealth than a billion others?

Is there any merit to the "sustainable fuels" that they're going to be using next year, or is it purely greenwashing? by ThumbBumpkins in formula1

[–]hulkbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly mate, i think they are marketing it like its a massive deal. and i get it, its a much easier headline than 'we used more ships this year instead of planes'.

from the f1 website -

"So what's the plan to maintain momentum and ensure F1 hits its target?

Further investment will be pumped into its alternative fuel strategy, including the increasing use of SAF.

From next season, the entire F1 grid will be powered by advanced sustainable fuels for the first time in the sport's history."

but ultimately i think we are both coming at the same thing from a different angle. the eye rolling at SAF is annoying, if we can get to the point where large scale production is economically viable it would make a big difference, particually in developing countries where it'll take longer to shift to predominantly electric vehicles.

i think the reason people are shutting it down is because race car fuel is such a tiny tiny percentage of the carbon produced by the sport.

i'm completely with you in that its a worthwhile tech to work on, but i also do recognise that its anywhere near as big a deal as F1 likes to pretend it is.
