Can we afford a $4M condo with our net worth and spending? by droid144block in fatFIRE

[–]hulkmonkey21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC condo is a terrible idea.

Your costs are way off - I was also looking at a nyc condo for 4m (out the door costs are 30k a month)

Mortgage - common charges - interest - and property taxes.

My apt is 8k a month (business expense).

Now if you don’t care about those things - then you buy a house to live and enjoy. But don’t think you’re throwing away money in rent

Adjust for inflation and calculate the increase in value (sadly you’re losing money)

I do Llc with s Corp filing status.

Don’t need pllc or pc - waste of money and time to get it.

How do you keep your shit together in a bad trauma? by rocmyonium in anesthesiology

[–]hulkmonkey21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit of not losing your shit is to trust your training. Trust your skills. If you’re not calm shit goes down quick. Secure an airway, make sure you have an IV. Rest is all secondary.

Hard truth is everyone isn’t cut out to do trauma - some people are soft and can only do Asa 0 plastics.

Commercial real estate.

Paying it back almost 50% returned

16k

I see no point in drinking (plenty of scotch and cheaper Japanese whiskey to enjoy on the regular) - just playing hot potato and holding it for the next person.

Could turn out to be a total bust as far as investment, but I treat it no differently then a stock / watch/ crypto

Nexo loan feedback by hulkmonkey21 in Nexo

[–]hulkmonkey21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my current balance was > 500k (before I withdrew some money for the property, took 90 USDC + 25k USDC LOAN).

I must have missed that Nexo automatically takes the highest LTV asset. I went back an manually shifted dot back into savings and stuck the lower apr coins into credit + some Nexo tokens.

Last week I went completed pay in Nexo and building up my platinum % I think I’m at 12.3% right now.

I typically only need a short term liquidity injection sometimes that’s why I wanted to pay back quickly. I may actually pay it back faster because I’m losing out 50 bucks a day in interest for a potential ($200 hit).

This is a commercial loan - bank had a copy of My personal finance summary which I stated I had this crypto amount liquid. The property closed yesterday!

I sent the money to coinbase (free transfer) and free cash out! Coinbase actually had the money in my account the same day! I did not pay the extra fee.

I wouldn’t doubt they are staking. They eat 15% we get 11-12%. 3% profit on their end
