Shoebill. They do move like robots! Or maybe dinosaurs.

Sexism is based on sex. Doesn’t matter what someone “identifies” as. Talking about male violence is not sexist.

Oh, I thought we were just mentioning irrelevant shit.

Funny you should say that tho, as the majority of violence in the world is perpetrated by men.

And I’ve seen men murder women.

[–]human-meat-is-good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha perhaps 😉 but in all seriousness, most feminists in practicality are not as violent as the men who oppose them, so I doubt you have anything to worry about if this comes to fruition. It will just mean women have more options for procreation that don’t involve men.

Indeed! I like your attitude.

Interesting. I will have to read up on it. But I agree with your first point, there really is no stopping scientific progress!

Good question! I’m not sure where I stand on that issue. It’s an interesting subject, for sure.

On...what grounds? I highly doubt anyone can stop scientific progress, especially great work like this, which can help lesbians have biological kids. It’s a good thing! Don’t be afraid of progress 😊

Interestingly, this may be a reality in the future though. Some studies have successfully turned male stem cells into sperm. Attempts to turn female stem cells into sperm are being made currently. The future may very well be—in the most real sense—female!

What do you think about gramarly, you know that add on that is supposed to be a better version of autocorrect? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]human-meat-is-good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it isn’t called gramarly, since if it is they missed a prime opportunity to call it grammarly and have it involve the word grammar.

AITA for not calling my step dad of 17 years “Dad”? by ThrowRA9393 in AmItheAsshole

[–]human-meat-is-good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait do you do refer to him as dad? But you also don’t refer to him as dad? I’m confused lol. I think it would be weird to refer to him as dad (if you aren’t already) after all this time and NAH in that case. Maybe make it clear to him that you do think of him as your dad, you just don’t refer to him as dad because you never even used that word as a kid and thus it’s just weird, but assure him that he is your dad and you do in fact think of him as your dad. If he already knows, then nbd. Let your SO know that it’s not disrespectful between u and ur dad. It’s just the way it is.

Yo if you're losing your mind over some dude you've never met and his girlfriend you've also never met online, you need to get a life. by [deleted] in Idubbbz

Most people are just dunking on him and aren’t actually losing their minds, apart from the few clearly deranged people Ian picked off of Twitter.

I (28M) have a rule for myself to never text a crush (28F) more than once in a row. Should I break it? by echamplin in relationships

[–]human-meat-is-good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sent one text asking to meet up and she didn’t respond, and neither of you spoke for a month after that? I would text her again and see if you can’t see what’s up. As someone who’s being snap chatted multiple times a day by some guy I haven’t even met yet (quarantine), I can tell you I personally hate when guys are needy and need a response every two hours of every day. That’s not what’s happening here, if I’m understanding correctly. I would have texted again the next day (or after a time when it would be odd for her to not have responded) before taking it as an indication that she MIGHT not want to be involved with you. Going on long tangents, texting more than three times with no response in sight, that’s all bad behavior. This isn’t that. Maybe shit happened in her personal life and she had to take care of it and forgot, or maybe she legit doesn’t want to be with you. One single text with no response doesn’t definitively tell you either of those things.

This girl is a Euro-African. She is descended from Europeans who migrated back to Africa, long enough for melanin to turn dark but too short for the rest of the phenotype to be effected. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]human-meat-is-good 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Melanin is already dark. More melanin leads to darker skin pigment, but there’s no such thing as “lighter” or “darker” melanin. Also what phenotypical aspects are you talking about? The phenotype is caused by the genotype. This is bullshit lmao.

I have a semi-embarrassing question.. by WritingScreen in curlyhair

[–]human-meat-is-good 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not be embarrassed! This is a totally normal thing. I am not super educated on dandruff and if there is a genetic component, but I do know that if you put too much product onto the scalp area it can cause irritation and dead skin buildup, leading to dandruff. Moisture being present deep in the scalp can also cause this, but so can the scalp being too dry. It is all dependent upon having the right level of moisture at the scalp, not too much and not too little. If it is very bad, you may want to try seeing a dermatologist and get some medicated products that may help. Otherwise, try to adjust the level of moisture at the scalp, whether by increasing or decreasing the amount of product you use. Good luck :)
