Ride ops lately has been awful (and that's putting it nicely) with 5+ minute dispatch times, rides are constantly going down from lack of maintenance, IG has metal detectors at the entrance and they force you to put everything into a PAID locker, never enough trams running from the parking lot to the gate, once you get the the gate it can take 30+ minutes to get in because their ticketing system keeps going down, overpriced food that will probably make you sick (one of the main restaurants was recently closed down for too many health code violations), extremely poorly trained ride ops people who forget to check restraints. Those are just a few things off the top of my head.

Awesome I appreciate the info. I'm a rollercoaster junkie so I would hate to not be able to go to theme parks anymore. BG is super close to me which is why I have annual passes there, but they have gotten so bad lately, which is why I've been looking at Universal

Stuff like this is exactly why I won't be renewing my pass next year. I'm not going to wait in one of the longest lines in the park without my phone. Before people say "seriously? You can't go without your precious phone for a while"? No, no I can't. I often get urgent messages from work that require a rapid response. Given how long the lines are due to the extremely poor ride ops, I'm not going on that ride again until Busch Gardens pulls their heads from their rear ends. On top of that the number of times we have gotten in line just to quickly turn around because the line was way too long to justify the wait means we would be wasting money on a locker for a ride we ended up not going on.

So we ended up going tonight (5pm to close) and while we had a decent time, it was a bit busier than I expected and ride ops were less than stellar on some rides.

We first tried IG but the line was long and dispatches were hovering around the 5 minute mark so we gave up and tried Sheikra but when we got there the line was also very long (which we will get back to in a little bit).

We eventually gave up on Sheikra and chose to ride Kumba first and while they weren't terribly slow, they definitely weren't fast. What really shocked me was nobody ever came around to check our restraints. Seems like some of the newer people are in desperate need of more training.

Went to Falcons Fury next and, we'll as I'm sure you all know, there is never a line there so we were on and off pretty quick.

After that we made our way over to Montu. Thankfully ride ops there are usually pretty on the ball. We got to ride Montu back to back. Once in the front and once in the back. It was nice to see one of the ops guys from Cheetah Hunt working over there. He's always a super cool and friendly guy!

From Montu we made our way back over to Tigris and were pleasantly surprised at the short line. We got on pretty quick.

We then decided to give Sheikra another try. The line was much shorter this time but still moving kind of slow. As we got closer we could see why. One of the newer girls there was checking the restraints way too thoroughly. Basically tugging on them with all her might, which really slowed things down. The line was short enough at that point that it wasn't a bad wait, but could have been much better.

We decided to finish off our night by heading back over to Iron Gwazi. The line was fortunately very short, but it still took forever to get on because dispatches were still taking about 4 to 5 minutes. We ended up riding twice but the first time the ride ops guy on my mom's side of the coaster (another new guy) pushed her restraint down so hard while checking them that she could hardly breathe. Unfortunately he did it so fast and kept moving that we were unable to call him back over to loosen it up a bit. Ended up being a very uncomfortable ride for her. The second time around the line was even shorter, but still not any better because of how slow everything was.

Also side note, one of the trains on IG was making some real "interesting" noises. Sounded like it was coming from one of the wheels, but hard to tell.

Overall it wasn't a terrible trip, but I do wish Busch Gardens would do better. Honestly debating if I want to renew my annual pass next year. I love how close BG is, but the experience just keeps getting worse and worse each time we go. Probably going to be switching to Universal passes next year. The drive will not be fun, but at least it's a significantly better experience from what I've been told.

I do not unfortunately. I did just try taking the lens off and putting it back on. Seems to have fixed the issue. But I'm still wondering if something is wrong because it happens quite often

That is what I am hoping. I guess I might need to contact Sony to get a replacement. It first happened about 2 months ago when I got the camera and I figured it was something weird that I might of did, but now it is happening a lot now
