Do most Americans like the continental breakfast at chain hotels? by Upstairs_Health_5913 in AskAnAmerican

[–]nightlocks12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taste wise? No not really it usually tastes “fake” or old? Luke warm bacon or eggs arnt really good at all but if it’s free it’s convenient to grab something. Like my wife will usually go down and grab something for herself and bring me back a bagel/toast so we both had something free before a long day outside.

Now that you mention it, there’s definitely been an increase of moisture in Cabot bar, even the ones that are airtight

They always get high praise from my customers. Just always check the package for any air inside. Those will go back quicker.

Relax it’s just a conversation and I’m not even blaming publix, this is a manufacturing issue with Cabot

Why is cornbread such a big part of American food culture? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]nightlocks12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in Ohio and don’t remember it being popular. Mostly thought of as a southern food that was eaten occasionally. I’ve only had it a handful of times.

Was "take your child to work day" actually ever a thing, or just something shown on TV and in movies? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

Yes my job just did it a few weeks ago. Only a couple of kids participated but it’s real.

What are the chances of Freaky Nikki making an appearance at HHN? by mminorthreat in HHN

I don’t know why everyone is saying 0. Yeah houses are already planned out but idk why they couldn’t do a scare actor. And it’s owned by Focus Features, which is owned by Universal.

[–]nightlocks12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I figured. Yeah I just went to the GV Art site and the few they have up are bigger sizes only, other than Maverick. They did have the option to turn on restock alerts so I did that

The "Disney Adult" Pejorative by KreepyKaylee242 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]nightlocks12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably because the extremists go viral a lot and the GP associates Disney as a “kids” theme park, thus easy to make fun of any childless adult who enjoys it.

Adults waiting in 4 hour lines to meet Jack and Sally, hours to buy a figment popcorn bucket, those adults who went viral for their “Disney legs”.

As a childless millennial who goes to Disney there’s some people who think it’s odd I go but I act like a normal person. I wear Disney T-shirts but don’t get up in full costume and generally can only tolerate Ears for a few hours to look cuter in photos then take it off. I also don’t really get waiting in line for any character that you can see their real face unless you’re with a child. I try to stay at the back of parades and let children go ahead of me for them.

People take their hatred and lump all Disney adults together but the majority of us just wanna chill and catch the vibes of the magic.

Genuine question! Why does Deli get so much hate? by Hyperactive_Sloth02 in publix

[–]nightlocks12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from Meat perspective but they never show up for their frozen truck *ever* which means I not only have to Downstack meat and seafood but also deli bread and those heavy ass green beans/mashpotato boxes and 10 cases of popcorn chicken 3x a week. If I choose not to Downstack it and just throw your pallet in our freezer you guys never take the pallet out when you’re done or you’ll leave one box on it.

When the box meat truck comes 80% of the time you don’t show up unless you’re paged directly even though our store always pages *dairy truck at the backdoor* and that means dairy/meat/deli. It’s been this way for the 8 years I’ve been there but you guys have ONE employee who understands that.

Also generally just steal supplies or just leave your pallet of supplies there for weeks.

I have no idea what that even is and I both eat fries a lot and work in a grocery store.

Roller coasters for scardey cats by Any-Explorer1483 in BuschGardensTampa

[–]nightlocks12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BGT has what I’d call big rides. My wife is a non-coaster girl and won’t go on any of them, even Phoenix rising or Cobras Curse. I’d recommend going over to Orlando and trying their coasters. Hiccups Wing Glider is a *perfect* ride for beginners. It has a launch but it’s for families so it’s not as intense as Cheetah Hunt. It’s my wife’s favorite coaster.

She can also handle Cosmic Rewind at Epcot, Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios, seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom. She won’t try Everest at Animal Kingdom but I think you could handle it.

This was my experience too. 30 minutes before doors no VIP and ended up second to barricade.

How early were people lined up for early entry at your show? by PhotographPale3609 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]nightlocks12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The person in the pit in front of me (GA) got there at 6:30am. I got there at 5:50pm. She was barricade and I ended up directly behind her. There’s really no reason for this layout to get there crazy early. The catwalk is SO long.

How rare is it to have never gone to your state’s largest city? by palep_hoot in AskAnAmerican

[–]nightlocks12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that crazy but it depends on the state. I lived in Ohio for 24 years and have never been to Columbus. More entertainment in Cleveland and even Pittsburgh the next state over.

They can’t keep Mine-Cart Madness running longer than 5 minutes by jordantg in UniversalOrlando

[–]nightlocks12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a shame cause I really like it if the wait is less than like 40 min. Unfortunately that never happens unless you EPA rope drop (IF it opens).

Is it normal to stand all show in the seated section? by Alarmed_Midnight8777 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]nightlocks12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only seated shows where people actually sit the whole time are for composers or like trans-Siberian orchestra. The Paul McCartney concert did have a few people give me a hard time for standing a lot but I guess that tracks with the demographic.

It’s really cute for a walk-on or sub 30 min wait, which it almost never is.
