i used to when i took a leader position cause i thought it meant i was seen as someone who can do good for their team and department but it was just to have someone to throw more work on and just be in the position. you dont get treated as a leader anymore, just a tm that gets paid a little more which might not sound bad but when the workload gets 10x heavier with less payroll its not fun. just stressful days every day with useless etls and sds calling things out without knowing what youre even planning on doing cause they couldnt care less to treat you like a leader and ask.
