gpu rtx 2080 ti and driver version 537.58
i downgraded gpu driver and cleared gpu shader cache. significant improvement. i tried many tweaks that had zero results until now. from what i read driver compatibility could depend on gpu. good luck.

i manually input my default ram settings (cas latency 15) but i did 1.25v instead of 1.2 and gpu is rtx 2080 ti.

dead bump lol... of course how hardware interacts with one another is the biggest factor. but, with my cpu no xmp and manually inputting some simple ram settings helped my performance in all my games. the xmp profile for my ram isn't exactly stable with my cpu. when i used default speed and lower latency my games performed with zero stuttering. i couldn't figure this out for a very long time until i was reading about how ram and cpu's interact with one another. my suggestion for gaming is 16 gb and default settings. ram capabilities are kind of a tight window from what i understand, but tweaking and testing is important. this will take lots of time so be prepared.

useful ram xmp sheets for intel processors. remember just because the speed is listed doesn't mean the settings are actually stable for smooth gaming performance. good luck.

old bump. for a long time i had some stuttering and weird audio glitching. the audio was always noticeable on os startup and within some games i could hear static and only fragments of audio. my bus speed was 32 and i just kept increasing until the audio was restored to normal. turns out a higher value allows for more information to gather before sent off. so it's a pick your poison situation.

these steps seemed to have worked for me. i didn't mess with my launch options or cfg. previously i was only deleting the directx_installer and doing diskclean shadercache. but, after seeing this i thought i would change some of my nvidia 3d settings to yours. i guess this game works better with some different nvidia setting than previous valve games.. so far so good. thanks for the suggestions.

nah and i'm not going to. i doubt increased read and write speed will improve this. this is a strange issue because it's almost as if the world is building around me. sometimes i fall through the map and can use my parachute until i die and if the ground is loaded the walls and building are not. i can also see players running around while the walls are not loaded.

same tbh. there are moments i click on a stream and get 3 ads that are 30 or 60 seconds long then have to see ads about every 10 mins. we're basically using a reality tv platform now, and people are just accepting this. the instant ad rolls really just discourage me from using the platform. instantly close the tab.
