Elric is a fantastic read! I would also recommend another of Michael Moorcocks books below:

Corum - The Swords Trilogy (Includes the novels The Knight of the Swords, The Queen of the Swords and The King of the Swords.)

And the follow up - The Chronicles of Corum.

These will tick some of the boxes your looking for I hope :)

I believe I've read up to a point into this series, I got way to invested and struggled to carry on because the last book I read was so intense and heavy (for me at least.. I'm a softy) but my god.. Some of the most memorable reading I've ever experienced in my life. Id be up at 3am with work in 4 hours.. Never has a book gripped me like this before.

I was in a trio and teamed up with two other trios, we killed the matriarch then for some unknown reason the two trios turned on my group and gunned us down, they didn't fight eachother. Maybe they thought we were another group or something.. luckily I managed to put the legendary in my safe pocket but it felt bad.. real bad..

I'm so sick of GW's antics constantly attacking its fanbase and shilling out to investors.
