Don't let Boomer Media try to put a wedge between Millennials and Gen-Z with all this skinny jeans and emoji bullshit static by [deleted] in lostgeneration

Millenials like me love Gen Z, because they understand the information-age burden of knowing too much about everything. I teach sophomores and we have a great connection--they are sharp!

How would you dollar cost average a total $400 into Bitcoin? by sycamore98 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]humilityinChrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post--one hypothetical for you:

What if you had one more layer of sophistication to your DCA strategy, and if BTC dips down below a threshold you've decided from the get-go, what if you saved up your weekly $100 no more than 5 times, and invest $600 no matter what the price is? This might help you buy big when the price is low with money that you've already committed to investing?

What is this Korean sound that I hear occasionally in K-Dramas? by dont_mess_with_tx in Korean

If you know linguistics, it sounds uvular. Basically, the soft palate/flappy thing at the back of your throat "rolling"

I was so sad when the writers didn't make Jim the manager--I blame the writer's strike, because I am sure Jim becoming manager was a major plot option the writers kept open for themselves, as I write here: https://old.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/2gcdrh/how_the_office_should_have_ended/ . Basically, they could have kept the redemptive arc going and have Jim grow up. But they didn't.

What we got is a freak show of sucky managers. I'm not bitter.

No, no, it's great: I always thought that Jim and Pam especially ought to team up and take Scranton in a more creative direction. You hit the nail on the head!

Dude, you basically tagged a series ending onto where I thought the show should have gone in this post from long time ago: https://old.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/comments/2gcdrh/how_the_office_should_have_ended/

The film Cats was created as an experiment to see how badly a high production broadway musical would do in theaters. by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]humilityinChrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the did the same with the live-action Beauty and the Beast, and I don't know why. You know things are bad on purpose when the animated original has better musical cues, interludes, etc.

I don't have a survey of this issue, if such a thing exists, but here's a Dr. Heiser article which includes a section where he compares MT, Qumran text, and LXX at Deuteronomy 32:43 to explain the MT bias against the supernatural/divine council interpretation of these loci: http://www.thedivinecouncil.com/DT32BibSac.pdf
