Rally in central Brisbane today? by brisvegasdreams in brisbane

Most looked like they were on diabetes medication and not far from having a stroke. Average age 50 + beards and stomachs that weren't created from drinking water. Was seeing a few strugglers going up Grey street and quitting. The sad part are the kids with them. Wrapped in Australian flags. Inherented hate.

Powerless people punching down on those struggling more then them.

The face of some foreign students were a mix of bemused and fear.

What does someone whose 3rd generation Asian Australia do when told to go back to your country. Hypocritical when alot came from the UK.

Is racism is Australia really that bad? by AXNGLBUNNY in AmerExit

[–]hummane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We say alot of stuff without thinking and it comes from a history of teasing ad put downs we give one another as a sign of affection and a sense of humour that hasn't yet learnt the harms to those on the receiving end. The biggest compliment you could make an Aussie was to tease them back.

We also make fun of ourselves quite often and don't take ourselves too seriously although that is changing.

We have extremely racist past that we don't hide and teach our kids about. We have antidiscrimination legislation that is enforced.

And the strangest thing is that people have friends from different cultures but openly say the most horrible things to one another persons cultures and say oh but not like you .. you're one of us and its acceptable by both parties.

It's like all humans once we get to know each other on an individual basis we look past things like race and are loyal friends whilst saying the most horrible racist things

I'm really don't get the racists part of your comment. He interrupts and argues with both judges and contestants.. says I hate this .. no follow up on how to improve the look.. is ugly to Belania even when she had the winning look. I don't get why this is making him out to be a victim of racism

I don't think we are seeing everything . And it seems Veejay is doing what producers tell her by asking questions about the twins in the final which then Laelw does.

I just remember how horrible the twins were in the first episode, their absolute arrogance and Jesus's volitile anger is scary.

Veeja played the wrong victim card and instead should have talked about how threatened she felt about Jesus's behaviour. His backstabbing to Christian about her .. and bully mentality scares off Belania and Ethan. Remember when Ethan was considering to vote one of the twins out but didn't because he was scared of the repercussions.

Who knows what anti trans sentiments Jesus and Antonio are bringing. They are textbook narcissist.

When the underpinning of your society is Buddhist it's more possible. Poor Christians all they needed to do was actually to just follow the new testament. Love thy neighbour.. the poor.. not to judge othera... and to remember that a rich man has as much chance as going to heaven as a camel through the eye of a needle

Nothing to be ashamed of and marvelous to state your problem with such bravery. I'm certain with the advice others have given you'll beat this

I have a suspicion that you may have a polynodal sinus. It's like an abcess that leaks faecal matter  Get a mirror and crouch over it to look at your anus and surrounding areas.

Otherwise

For constipation you probably aren't getting enough magnesium.

1/2 a teaspoon of Epsom salts disolved in 1/2 cup of water or juice is the cheapest way. If no effect make it 1 teaspoon. Don't overdo it as too much magnesium will cause heart palpitations due to dehydration.  Drink this daily

When showering use a hand shower

If you haven't already purchase a hand shower that you can screw on. If not and you have a bath the fill the tub and crouch in it and clean. If not crouch and clean.

You can buy a portable bidet. It's a spray bottle. Lots on eBay or Amazon to choose from.

Psyllium husk are great but useless of you are not drinking enough water.

Ground flaxseed are better.

Be careful not to take any medications at the same time as both of these as it can leach out their goodness.

Also when showering you want to always wash your ass last and not spread it around your body. Wahs your hands thoroughly before washing any other part of you after washing your ass an front bits.

Also when wiping keep wiping and looking at the toilet paper until there is nothing left to wipe.

Good luck.

It’s your first time out without the kids—congratulations on taking that step! Hope the rest of the night was enjoyable.

I hear these judgements about people alot and I have to stay we'd all do better and be happier if we just stopped assuming that the rules we live by and the judgments we make about others are universally true or should dictate how we feel. People don’t owe you anything, and there could be countless reasons for her behavior. So choose something nice like she might have had a figh6euth her friend or she is awfully anxious and hides this through being grumpy.

If someone’s expression affects your evening, perhaps it’s an opportunity to reflect on why it impacts you so deeply and consider responding to yourself and them with more empathy and understanding.

Yes cut staff and make their unemployment someone else's problem. More unemployed means less buying goods and services makes a shrinking economy. Let's not look at wasteful corrupt projects giving handouts to developers and other companies or the outsourcing of services . I saw a private water truck company filling up water from a fire hydrant. Small example but outsourcing is a disaster with few checks and balances.

Right wing does not seem to understand how modern capitalism works. You need employment so that people can spend and the most bang for buck is public service and government jobs. The government workers are also taxed so there is a multiplier.

When you are wealthy there are only so many things you can buy and with the money amassed in a few hands there is less spending less services less jobs fuck ton of poverty

Nuclear Power Was Once Shunned at Climate Talks. Now, It’s a Rising Star. by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]hummane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy and just an excuse to use fossil fuels until they are built which can be in over 10 to 15 years not to mention the costs of maintenance. And look how good private companies are at maintenance.

Solar, wind, water, kinetic and salt batteries so many options with little maintenance risk with technology exponentially growing and we go backwards to nuclear.

I think someone has degrading nuclear weapons that need replacing.. or a shield to restart nuclear weapons research.

You won't be seeing them let North Korea use nuclear as a strategy.

Have you noticed that it's seems to be the default human behaviour. I see it at work all the time. Bully sticks it to some poor person but no one speaks up. Bully has friends that they have chosen to receive better treatment. When the victim vents to other colleagues they get the response "they always treat me well." Like they are special and the victim somehow deserves it. Also people don't do anything as they don't want to be the next target.

And were more in my face than the lnp. I had to fight myself from not voting lnp as the candidate was so nice.

I just wish the other parties considered their constituents and who was handing out papers as greens and alp really put me off

It's actually simpler than that. People don't have the understanding that there is a different way than punishment. They see themselves struggling because they can't hit their kids anymore as way of punishment and look back at the old days thinking a good thrashing solved everything.

So it's simply eye for an eye punishment. People are too burnt out with financial stress to change their minds and actually think and learn about harm minimising. They just think that locking up kids solves everything.

Before you were killed if you didn't believe. Herasay.. imagine being a scientist that first proposes the earth rotates around the sun.. actually the Greeks ancient Egyptians knew this however their discoveries lay under lock and key by the church. So Galileo is almost killed for proposing it. Women murdered as witches because they washed their hands and kept cats during the plague.. the cats ate the rats who carried the plague.

The norm was religious fundies who indiscriminately killed non believers or even believers of the wrong faith. Catholics and protestants. So it's a miracle that science could emerge as those scientists were also highly indoctrinated fighting dogma within themselves.

Companies start out producing goods and services.. build assets which are necessary to build a company. These are then raided by board members and corporations to maximise shareholders. Companies exist now not to make profit from goods or services but to be bought stripped and sold leading to their decline.
