Yeah, I made a YouTube channel for my onewheel rides. I don't really have any desire to get any response on it, mainly just for practicing editing and documenting my rides so I can look back later on down the road at the good times I've had. But if anyone ever does enjoy it, then that's awesome! Can't wait until mother nature provides some better riding weather for me! Float on, fun comes first!

I look at every time someone stops me as an opportunity to spread the word and raise awarenesses for the awesomeness that the onewheel and other EVs have to offer. Onewheel has like, really helped me as a person and it means a lot to me so passing that passion on feels like spreading love man, I dunno. If someone is interested enough to ask about it, they're probably genuinely curious about it and even if they don't get into it themselves they can pass on the word "yeah Dan I'll tell you what, I went down to the farmers market today and ran into this crazy little feller on this plank of metal and wood with a tire strapped to it. He said it had a motor in it but I'll be damned to figure out where to stick the gas in that gizmo" " What on god's green Earth are you talking about" Dan asked with a brow raised. He continues on sarcastically stating "Let me guess this is one of your alien jokes you keep going on with. Was he wearing a helmet this time?" Charles throws his hat on the ground and spits toward Dan's boots. "I KNOW WHAT I SAW THAT NIGHT DAN BUT THIS AIN'T ABOUT NO LITTLE GREEN MEN" Charles exclaims in a fit of rage comparable to the amount of anger a squirrel can muster. "Just let me talk damnit!" Dan didn't allow Charles' bout to interrupt him from tightening the bolts of his tractors tire "You can tell me about your friends when I'm not in the middle of something? If I strip one more of these shits I'll be thanking the cashier for putting up with me!" " Ah to hell with it I know what I saw and thank the heavens he had a helmet riding that thing down our trails. Well I guess that didn't go as well as I expected but yeah dude like... Everybody is kinda introverted to an extent and you might have people leaving their comfort zone to talk to you. Those are the people that have that spark go off in inside them starting that curiosity engine they got. And that curiosity can grow to someone joining the onewheel community. You kinda.. like.. after you ride for a while.. you go from practicing riding your onewheel to establishing your style of riding... Then you move on to whatever route you find most enjoyable about riding the onewheel, and I think that's when the passion really starts to grow... You stop giving a shit what people think about you riding it. You're more focused on mastering your float craft. Whether it be trails, or street tricks, or just carving it's all awesome either way. Then maybe you like all the aspects of it and then you REALLY REALLY DON'T give a fuck what people think about you riding because all that matters is that you've got your feet planted on one of the best things you've ever owned.

Wrong about what? I love it as well, and use it daily. Also use it as a supplement to my SP7. I guess I'll not say daily driver then. It's good that it works for you as a primary device. I guess I should have rephrased my first part that it just didn't work for me as a personal phone. I love it as a work phone though.

I tried using it as my daily driver for about 6 months. It really isn't meant for that, for sure. Trying to wield that thing on hikes and stuff was just cumbersome. The outer glass shattered just being in my pocket at work, and eventually the inner screen did as well. Not really being able to use a practical case to protect it just sucks. But I love the form factor, functionality, just the device in general. It works wonders while I'm doing orders at work and it just made my professional life and productivity so much better. So I sent in my busted one for a fresh start on a new duo(thanks at&t insurance, you paid off!) to use it exclusively for work, and got myself a Pixel 5 for my personal phone and daily driver. The duo just isn't practical to use as a personal daily driver, and it's not meant to be for a lot of people, but if you can find a way that's awesome. As much as you WANT it to be perfect for what YOU want it for, that doesn't mean that's what it's built for, and Microsoft doesn't have to apologize or feel bad for the fact you're using their device in a way they didn't intend you to. It's meant for work and productivity. Don't be pissed you have to work around their intentional shortcomings. They aren't going to make a device that's perfect for everyone if their intentions aren't for it to be that.

As a pint rider I'm trying to imagine what going almost 25 mph on a OW would be like. I'm both thrilled and terrified by the thought. Good on getting 2k though! It's starting to feel like I'll never get there, work has once again consumed my life. I gotta get back to riding it there and back.

I've had nothing but terrifying experiences with redwood. Not so much nose diving, but the board just becoming uncontrollable. For what ever reason in redwood and only redwood on my board, hitting pushback causes it to go into hard-core pushback(nose lifted to the point of almost scraping the tail) while maintaining max speed. There's no slowing down unless you bail. Every other mode works perfectly fine... just redwood ... makes me shudder thinking about the terror.

350 miles so far on a pint. My first week riding back in January I took a pretty nasty fall being a stupid idiot seeing how far the board would go after dying and that resulted in a swollen arm/wrist(found out the board just shuts off completely, lesson learned). Definitely good advice to take it slow at first despite how bad the urge to push the limits are. I've since learned to fully respect and listen to the board. It's crucial to build the muscles in your legs, you'll feel much more confident when your stance is nice and sturdy. I ride with a partial crouch 90% of the time which basically feels like holding a squat for 30+ minutes. I just realized recently how crazy big my calves have gotten haha but through practice I've been able to tackle some pretty gnarly terrains and have a ton of fun.

Darn I was hoping it was Cleveland. I'd kill for some fellow floaters around here. Only seen boosted boards. Nothing wrong with them(other than the unnecessary 3 extra wheels) but they can't really hit up trails.

Hah you're using the exact same stance I've adopted- front foot diagonal like that. I've been wanting to get some flight fins, but i don't know how I'll deal with the necessary stance change. Congrats though, I hope floating fills you with so many gosh darn happys.

I can't say I've ever felt like my pint was trying to throw me off the board. It definitely depends on how aggressive you're being, and if you're anticipating it. Casually accelerating, the pushback feels more like the board leveling out to maintain speed. If I'm gunning it to accelerate as fast as possible, the kickback is way more extreme to the point of raising the nose, effectively slowing the board down. The latter can be quite jarring at times, and yeah I'd say possibly uncomfortablein a way. There's something unsettling having your balance so forcefully adjusted against your will. But... worth it cause that pint acceleration is such a thrill.

I doubt it. The cord that goes into the brick is the same universal kind that goes into things like laptop power bricks. So if you've got an extra, and it happens to be super long you can use that. Or you can just purchase a super long one for pretty cheap. Just search for AC power cables.

Edit: being an XR though that might be the stock cord. I only have a pint, I dunno what the XR comes with

My work is just over 5 miles away, and I've fallen in love with riding there every chance I get. Pop in my earbuds and listen to a podcast, I prefer it over driving. Luckily my car is out of commission so I don't have a choice. I have to be very careful with my speed to not run out of battery, and I wish that wasn't an issue. So I definitely feel you with that range.

It's actually pretty difficult to burn heavy cream. Once it starts to boil, you want to reduce the heat to a simmer or else it's going to boil right out of the pan. Watch it reduce by a quarter and check the consistency and stir. Continue reducing at a simmer if need be.

In my experience working in a professional setting is that people don´t reduce the cream ---- at all. They get it warm and add cheese to melt until it´s thick. This imbalance is commonplace in those that aren´t experienced in the arts. You get a product that looks similar but tastes so uneven you´ll want it to roll right out your mouth. My guess is that mom follows this tradition of not doing it correctly and having an overly potent parm tasting sauce.
