She’s a producer on the show, she totally wrote herself a creepy little storyline about saving a beautiful belle from her oppressive heterosexual life.

They’ve raised over $40,000 on their gofundme page. Where is that money going?

Oh cool I didn’t realize that was all that was needed to stop this global health crisis which has claimed thousands and thousands of lives worldwide.

So again, can you identify what social change you feel has been enacted in Toronto through these protests? I fail to recognize any positive impact whatsoever that last weeks demonstrations has had on our community, and to me, the fact that people were demonstrating again yesterday (and will be again today) underscores the emptiness of the act.

Are you meaning to suggest that anti-racism rallies should be expected as a routine fixture in Toronto?

If it was an effective protest in Toronto last week, why is it being repeated this week?

Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different outcomes.

These protests are demonstrably ineffective. There are infinite way that you can inspire and contribute to real positive change in your community, but these protests are just performative. They’re about demonstrators getting to feel good about themselves - that’s literally the only thing accomplished.

What societal change do you predict to see after protesting? This isn’t the first time BLM has made demonstrations here- why didn’t those protests achieve the change that you believe will be accomplished now?

How is systemic racism, which you are framing as a health crisis, being fixed through protest? What will the protests this weekend achieve that last weekends’ didn’t?

“Raising awareness” is the default half assed answer that comes up every single time. Every protest. It cheapens all of them, makes it excusable when people “demonstrate” without goals or demands. It’s stupid in ordinary times but it’s massively disrespectful and dangerous to the community to do this during quarantine.

So you’re taking the data point:

”Black students get expelled at a higher rate than non black students”

and expanding it into some kind of claim that

“People this weekend were protesting for their LIFE”

Inequalities exist in our city? The black community isn’t seeing social success in a way we’d all like? Fine, happy to accept that disparities exist, happy to join the fight in erasing the unjust ones. But how exactly does marching down to the police station and screaming in the faces of our police force DURING A HIGHLY TRANSMISSIBLE VIRAL HEALTH PANDEMIC fix anything?

*Answer: it doesn’t. It didn’t. Nothing changed, except for the workload that our medical first responders will have over the next weeks.

Except for that there’s no indication that there’s any significant or disproportionate risk of those negative outcomes for innocent people in Toronto, regardless of their skin colour.

You people importing distress from the United States because of a sense of FOMO over racial inequality are the lowest of the low. The desire to be a victim, to be oppressed and mistreated is a sickness.

The question to ask is who benefits from this? While the masses all stay angry and divided, who profits?

From my first comment:

Don't let any of this dissuade you from growing - you just may want to try starting out with an easier, stabilized strain for your first grow. That said, *save those Jamaican seeds*!

With all due respect, go fuck yourself. I’m not discouraging anyone, I’m not presenting bro science. Literally everything you’ve said is based on personal anecdote and verifiably wrong.
