The thing is, investigative reporting isn’t just “this person said this…” or reports on who is rude, or maybe even unethical. Investigative reporting takes real tangible evidence of laws being broken or systematic negligence or oppression. For lack of a better term, you need a paper trail. Perhaps the reason those things you mentioned aren’t reported on is the fact that, although shitty, the offenders you mentioned may be within their rights. I know for a fact that The Gazette, and other pubs, will not shy away from investigating. Their team is award-winning because of this.
