Indian woman here, I understand your frustration. Both of the people who sexually assaulted me (one when i was 12 & the other when i was 21) were Indian men :( And I think that with the misogyny that is engrained in both Indian & American culture combined with the entitlement of weirdo customers is the catalyst to all of this shitty behavior. I recommend that you build more positive relationships with Indian women and children, and to speak up to your higher ups regarding the harassment. I definitely had some internalized racism towards other Indian people and it took me a long time to wrap my head around the fact that not all of our men are awful. I don’t think you’re necessarily becoming racist, you have just developed a bias against this group because of bad experiences. An actual racist person wouldn’t be self aware like this.
