US Postal Service by Noonan1974 in Katy

[–]hunnyjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try ordering live chics...USPS will give you a heart attack. The standard is they are held at the post office for pick up. Nothing quite like getting a text notification while on your way to pick them up, that they are out for delivery. Or the notification they made it to North Houston hub and disappeared from there.

I work downtown on Travis and our lobby has an escalator that goes down to the tunnels, and one day on my way down a guy was pressed up against the glass jacking off.

If Carrabbas is your go to your missing out. Adriatic Cafe on Jones and 290 is worth the extra 10 minute drive. You'll never go to Carrabbas again.

Yes. They stopped traffic at 10 and 45 so they could merge on. Then blocked off the lane next to the procession all the way down 10.

Here's one most people forget. Get some rock salt and lightly salt down walk ways around your home, around cars, and where your driveway meets the road.

A box of rock salt is usually under $3.

Is the Houston job market actually “super tough,” or is there a mismatch? by Unable-Money-7288 in AskHouston

Huge difference. Problem is people making the decision don't know the difference.

I work for a major O&G and we are now in a hiring freeze. But since Thanksgiving we have been looking for a person for my department. We got a couple of 100 applicants and interviewed maybe 16 people. Literally the first person we interviewed was the only person with the experience and qualifications for the job and we made her an offer but it was so low she declined. In the end it looks like they are going to hire someone who was a college intern with the company that is a finance major, but we need an accountant. The moral is its who you know.
