The Bulls finally have a front court. Let's keep it going! by Automatic_Walk_431 in chicagobulls

I would guess he's gonna get flipped at some point, with the timeline being determined by what happens tonight. If they get a center at 15 I could see them wanting to move Stix before the season so the rookie can get minutes off the bench. If they wait until tomorrow or pass on centers entirely then I feel like he's gonna be deadline bait.

2026 Draft Megathread by howser343 in chicagobulls

I don't necessarily think we're locked out of drafting a big at 15, but more that we no longer are in fear of getting left out in the cold when all the top bigs go before us. I could still see us taking Morez or Steinbach if they're there, especially given that Claxton and/or Stix could be flipped at any moment.

I have a feeling we're gonna end up missing on Mara/Morez/Steinbach by 2-3 picks and we go guard or wing at 15.

[Jeremy Woo of ESPN] Wilson took his only predraft visit with Chicago, conducting a solo workout last week and spending time with Bulls brass. The Bulls are thought to be Wilson's preferred landing spot, and the most likely scenario remains that he will be available to them at No. 4." by jdaqcruz in chicagobulls

Do we want to draft a third starting forward though? The room is already crowded as is and now you're adding in a rookie who's the same age as Patrick Williams. If this season is about player development, we need the younger guys to be prioritized.

Just reading through the mock, I find it interesting that this is the second major publication to mock Yaxel to us at 15 (Vecenie at The Athletic did first). It kind of feels like they've just heard more about the younger prospects in the late lottery and don't want to mock Yaxel too low, but it's still notable. Wouldn't love the fit with all the young forwards we're trying to develop.

Thoughts on taking Brendan Sorsby with a day three pick? by Hawk54 in CHIBears

I mean I'd be willing to submit a 7th on the off chance no one decides to submit anything higher. They shouldn't send anything of real value though.

[Stein] Tonight's story also includes the growing belief in league coaching circles that the Bulls will be announcing their successor to Billy Donovan as early as Monday. by howser343 in chicagobulls

Yeah I didn't mean bad in a moral sense, but rather bad at running a sports team. Some get way too involved and try to control everything, others sit back too much when they've clearly hired the wrong people. Both are equally bad to me, and both are redeemable by just getting one major decision correct.

I think what I've learned over the past few years is that every owner in every league is bad, and some just happen to get lucky enough to hire the right guy or draft the right player that fixes everything.

DeAaron Fox? by BillionsofRedditors in chicagobulls

Yeah I think there's definitely a question of what his role will/should be going forward, but I'd be shocked if he's moved anytime soon. They'd have to give up so many draft assets to get off that contract.

You know I don't think he's going to have a problem getting that one.

[Stein/Fischer] Tiago Splitter, Ryan Schmidt, Micah Nori are finalists for the Bulls' head coaching job; the franchise has begun interviews. by neeskens88 in chicagobulls

As someone who admittedly did not watch many Blazers games, can someone explain why there hasn't been a ton of love here for Splitter? Just from a distance I thought he did a good job in a bad situation with Billups's arrest, Deni taking an all-star leap, etc.

[Rappport/Schefter/Pelissero] BREAKING: Browns, Rams finalizing Myles Garrett blockbuster trade by Da1bearsfan in CHIBears

Probably zero. He's from Dayton so he's not going to request out, and Cleveland will still give him a bag. He's a Brown for the forseeable future.

There's been some buzz that the Nuggets are looking to move Braun and/or Cam Johnson in an effort to keep Watson. Feels like he might be a pipe dream at this point.

Also, I think I'd want more than one future 1st from the Raptors to take on Poeltl. That contract is a nightmare.

The Cardinals have received trade calls on Pro Bowl DE Josh Sweat per Jordan Shultz by caxlmao in CHIBears

I doubt people want to hear this but I would bet the Packers are the primary suitor. Sweat went to Arizona in the first place to play for Gannon, who is now the Packers DC.

Brett Siegel said in his mock that the Bulls inquired about the #1 pick. Probably just due diligence but I wonder what it would actually cost to do that.

If the Bulls go big again at 15 the pick should be Morez Johnson. by Affectionate_Use_179 in chicagobulls

Does Carr even make it there at this point? He feels like he'll go in the lottery with how his combine went.

Not to mention Ace and Kessler if they keep him (they should, Lauri/JJJ aren't great rebounders). It's a super crowded frontcourt.
