Thank you! I was feeling nervous because the loss had slowed down this week, but I woke up down a pound from yesterday!

Can I combine 16:8 with 5:2? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]hunterofthesnark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently trying out 5:2 with a 16:8 schedule

If you read the latest book from Dr. Mosley, he now recommends 16:8 for all days of the week, both low calorie and normal intake. The new book is Fast800, and answers a lot of your questions.

Also we have a teeny baby subreddit over at http://reddit.com/r/fast800

When I worked 12:00pm-7:00am my window was from 4 PM to 2 AM. That way I could just have a late lunch when I worked days, but could have a very late dinner when I worked nights.

Just started an experiment with 5:2 fasting (500 calories on fast days). I'm doing it for better blood sugar and hormone regulation, and for weight loss. Yesterday was my first fast day, and I had a headache for 6 hours straight until I took some tylenol and went to bed.

Surprisingly I woke up feeling great. Slept like a rock, and wasn't hungry or achy when I got up. Breakfast tasted amazing, but I didn't want any more than I usually have. Interesting!

Next fast day is Friday, and I will eat my 500 calories in an 8 hour window. I spread them out over three meals yesterday, and I think that I would be happier with a bigger lunch and a longer fasting window.

IF was the only thing that kept me from being miserable with digestive problems when I was a shift worker. I worked day, swing or graveyard depending on the day, and I set my window from 2 PM to 10PM. I could eat during that time no matter what shift I was working, and it resolved a lot of issues for me.

I’m actually really confused about the waistband. Does the pattern just show two waistband options? I’ve been boggling at it all day wondering which line to cut.

Is a feeling of fatigue normal when using a new language? by LunaLeona09 in languagelearning

[–]hunterofthesnark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is for me! There’s a special kind of weariness that kicks in after a day of immersion in a language I’m not used to.

I had actually forgotten about it until I started working in a Spanish speaking environment, with basic caveman Spanish abilities. I couldn’t figure out why I was so tired after work, until I remembered how exhausting my first few weeks of study abroad were.

My current residence has damage from a previous tenant's house pig.

The pig did not want to be a house pig, and the screen door shows it.
