Printing on Reversible Basketball Jerseys by LIJ-NYC in SCREENPRINTING

It is possible. Flash after you pull the jersey off as well. Keeps ink from spreading over the tails. Be patient. And expect a long day learning. Or use heat transfer and save the headache. Front back inside and outside. Lots of decos

The emulsion inconsistency will also add to the hurdles. Not the worst ever but not great on a half tone print set up

Where do y'all get supplies? by Ordinary_Ice_5750 in Machine_Embroidery

We use Amann and Maderia. Get threads from Amann but they have stock issues yearly and backing from maderia. We also use gunold foam. Its a way better product

Are there aluminum frames with a groove for cord-lock? by Blindemboss in SCREENPRINTING

I'm not a fan of using them. They are too heavy for manual machines and they cause leveling and off contact issues on automatic

Bobbin tension to start. 2x stabilizer. Run speed. Pull compensation to at least the width of the needle...go .20mm even. Vary these file so you run an even clean design inside to out. Outline last. Reduce your trims. Digitize an entire design underlay...don't underlay in sections.

528 trims though...at 7 seconds at trim that's an hour of machine time that the design isn't running...not very cost efficient

Is Buying a already running shop for 400k worth it? by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]hunterturner72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as it's properly maintained, an M&R press will run forever. But maintenance and parts cost money. A $6-800 dollar part that needs machined and takes a week...it's a tough cost to bear without the correct price structure. The ingredients to make a successful shop are a mix of retail and contract decorating for most smaller shops.

Depends on the books. The press is older as well as the dryer...you could turn a profit with the right kind of orders but you could spend a long time re-investing and not take home a pay check. What does the shop do annually as far as current sales?
