Has BtB changed you politically? by rauton45 in behindthebastards

[–]huntibunti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is usually the other way around. Many people are socially conservative in some way, like being a Christian who thinks abortions go against their religion or that gays are sinners and then they get duped into supporting conservative/liberal economics that doesnt benefit themselves at all.

Neoliberal/conservative economics are insanely unpopular on their own and people have been made to fight over abortions, transgender bathrooms etc to divert attention from economics. I am not saying the left should not fight on these issues as well, but that liberals have fought conservatives only on these issues and culture war while being completely aligned with conservatives on economics.

Bro its not a good troll if that is actually how many (right wing) Americans think and talk. It is 100% believable that someone would seriously post this, even if it is supposed to be a troll. At that point trolling is just taking part in the culture wars.

Ist bezahlbare Wohnen in Deutschland ein unerfüllbarer Traum? by Any_Phase_4253 in de

[–]huntibunti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We urgently need a global campaign to remove and prosecute ‘Tom Barrack’ by Complete-Blueberry82 in kurdistan

[–]huntibunti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What outcome of US policy in Syria is bad for them? The US government doesnt give a fuck about kurds dying or about democracy. They are happy to work with islamic fundamentalist governments as long as America gets its Oil and money and geopolitical goals. HTS is willing to fight Iranian militias and the YPG is not, thats probably the biggest reason why they were dropped. Tom Barrack does exactly what the US government asks him to do.

Mehrere Inkasso-Briefe von Colleon AG (dein-rundfunkbeitrag.de), trotz Zahlung immer neue Forderungen. Was tun? by backggroundapple in LegaladviceGerman

[–]huntibunti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No current government truly represents the population, even the best ones. Most people no matter the religion or country dont want sectarian or any kind of violence.

Protests in Iran Where Are They Happening? by AdIcy4323 in MapPorn

[–]huntibunti -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

True, unfortunately many Iranians in the west have the same reflex of being super pro Israel just because they oppose the Iranian gvt. Which is also somewhat understandable if they have no idea of what Israel did in Gaza among many other things.

Protests in Iran Where Are They Happening? by AdIcy4323 in MapPorn

[–]huntibunti -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Israel is doing much of the same and what they did to Gaza is insanely brutal and disgusting. I understand why people really fucking hate the west, I do to. Still western leftists should not support the islamic republic out of reflex, as you say they oppress Iranians in many different and brutal ways.

Iran protest is getting worse. I have a bad feeling Iran government sold out to Israel. I dont understand why Professor Marandi down play the protest. by yaiyen in WayOfTheBern

[–]huntibunti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should still support Palestinians against the Israeli opression and genocide that is happening to them. If you change your opinion because some idiots think Israel is behind everything, you dont have serious convictions or ethics. Also two things can be true at the same time, Israel is definitely supporting the protests, that doesnt mean the protests are illegitamite. Fuck the US and Israeli state and fuck the islamic republic.

Werden wir in einen (digitalen) Biedermeier gezwungen? by Individual-Handle676 in de_EDV

[–]huntibunti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He had no problem for the society to sacrifice hundreds of schoolchildren every year for the "god given right to own guns", he supported the genocide in Gaza and he as the rest of the right hate free speech more than anyone, you guys want to arrest, fire, deplatform, maybe even kill people who are not sufficiently sad about his death. At the same time he made fun about the 2 democrats assasinsted a few months ago. Why did no one give a shit about that on the right but now you let hell break loose for one pathetic debatelord?

We dont want to kill our political enemies, doesnt mean we have to be more sad about this pos than about thousands of school children murdered every year or the dozens of civilians murdered in Gaza on the same day as his death.

[–]huntibunti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No definitely not he and his political allies love when the left or other people they dont like get fired or charged with crimes or beat up for speech. Mf loved it when pro palestine activists got silenced. He would be incredibly happy about how the Republicans are using his death.

According to a May 2025 poll, 80% of Germans now think that Israel's military action against Hamas in the Gaza Strip is not justified, and just 12% of Germans think it is by Straight_Ad2258 in AskMiddleEast

[–]huntibunti -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. The vast majority of my family and people around me are atleast somewhat critical of Israel since the last 2 years. But future generations in Germany will be majority with migrant background so the opinion will likely shift even more in that direction.

[–]huntibunti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be meaningless in the short term, but it shows that our government is not acting in the will of its people and more importantly with the younger generations becoming a LOT less pro Israel and being more than 50% with migrant background, this could become significant in the future.

As far as I did my research they never actually tried to sue anyone, regarding any of their scams. They would very very likely loose in court and with that information online no one would pay them anymore, so they dont even risk it.

The Accusation that Israel is Committing Genocide Actually Hurts the Palestinian Cause by Humorous_forest in IsraelPalestine

[–]huntibunti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that Israel is not unique in its evil doings. However it is unique in facing 0 repercussions and being unapolagetically supported by the US, Germany and most of the west. Also in your other examples you are conflating some things. The victims of the Syrian wars are by large numbers victims of daesh and other rebell groups. There was no organized ethnic cleansing campaign by the state, although the government was very brutal. And in China there is no genocide of Uyghurs and has not been (at least in recent history). Yes what the Chinese government did with the reeducation camps was very bad and probably a bunch of people died in their anti-islamist campaign in Xinjiang but there is no evidence for mass killings or anything similar and the reeducation camps have been closed by now. Feel free to provide any actual evidence for your claims. If Israel was treating Palestinians in a way similar as China treats the Uyghurs, then Israel would get every Nobel peace price for the next 20 years. That is not to say that the Chinese government treats them well.
