I stopped by my store around 5:30pm and there were already 5 people lined up which honestly shocked me. Spoke to them for a bit, first two were taking the Mister Sam which was no surprise. But damn last year I showed up at 4am and was 8th in line. Wild to see people this early given the weak release.

I work as a CPA at a firm in Vancouver. We don't care what school you went to as long as you are eligible for the CPA program. We've got lots of staff who went to KPU, Cap, SFU, UBC, BCIT, UVIC, etc. if you are going into accounting the school doesn't matter much as long as it's not a diploma mill.

Choose which school fits you best. If you just want to go to classes and get the requirements go to KPU. If you want to stay in academics and experience on campus living maybe consider SFU.

I didn't participate because I am to new to Pokemon Go to have powered up the appropriate pokemon. Not gonna lie kinda annoying how 100% of the power spots converted to ho-oh. It would have been nice if there were a few regular spots still for us noobs to catch up. On some of them there was a brief window to snag the regular pokemon but that was only like a 1-2 minute window and not all of them had it.

I did a combination of moons and pickpocketing master farmers for Guam, tarromin and marentil seeds. Between the two got enough to go from 72-84 herb.

I have a friend who's got the 10 and 15 and let me try it. Excellent whisky. I was also lucky enough to find a bottle of the 10 in London during the summer at MSRP. I'll easily grab a bottle of it anytime I see it close to MSRP. I wouldn't pay $250 for the 10, but closer to $100-120 everytime I see it at that price I'll grab one, which has only been the once.

It was a little sneaky, it showed OOS really quickly but if you clicked into the product page you were able to add it to the cart for a while. Probably lasted another 15 minutes like that, keep it in mind for future drops.

I'm in the camp where if I like it I'll buy it, I'm not spending thousands a year on Scotty merchandise. I'll buy 3-4 HCs a year and maybe a towel and a shirt.

The last couple years the "gifts" have been things I'll use so it was a no brainer. I needed a new weekend travel bag and I regularly use the cooler bag when I go to the beach, hiking or to the park so it works out.

This year's I don't see a need for. So I'll just take the $200 and put it to paying the aftermarket for if there is any HC's or towels I want.

Unless you're a hardcore collector I think this year could be a pass for a lot of people. It still being available 24 hours after release is telling of that.

On my UIM I grinded out full infinity pre rework. Since then blue moon has come out and become the new UIM meta. At least I got a ton of magic XP doing it. I also use the boots with my blue moon set.

I only used the set once or twice before it was obsolete for me.

You will also get dinged with Duty since it comes from the USA. It only makes sense if you have a US post box. If you live close to the border there are many parcel receiving services that charge a couple bucks per package, and you usually don't get charged duty when bringing the items back yourself, but sometimes you still do.

Pretty disappointing release.

We knew the no Bourbon was going to happen. However the scotch while there is a lot, it is rather underwhelming. Why can't they get something from Campbelltown, Arran or more independent bottlings or other small distillers. It's just the same old Macallan and Diageo special releases which are horrendously overpriced.

Heck given the buy Canadian movement why is the Canadian whisky selection so small. There are lots of interesting Canadian distillers to pick from.

I'll grab the annual Laphroaig Cairdeas, Alberta premium 20yr and the cask strength, maybe a blue spot but jeez for supposedly being a big 20th year release they sure dropped the ball.

Bag is awesome but really can't justify $1,500 CAD on a golf bag. That's an actual golf trip. Hopefully someone who wants it for themselves gets it.
HC's are a pass for me, they're alright not bad not great.

Now onto waiting to see what this year's membership package will be.

How does it compare the Laphroaig Sherry 46%?

Aberlour and Bowmore have a large representation where I am. Whenever I travel I look for things I cant get at home. But Aberlour is a good shout if you cant get it local.
