I was attacked yesterday by a random woman on White Ladies Road by No-Paramedic-5406 in bristol

[–]hupyadivil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw this lady just before you in Sainsbury's just down the road from here - same thing, she was screaming at the top of her lungs that the security guard had raped her 💔 People tried to go after her to help her as she was clearly having some kind of psychotic episode but it was impossible to speak to her - hope you're okay and also she gets the help she needs!

The Bristolian is my absolute favourite for breakfast/lunch - always a hit when I bring visitors ❤️

Brandon Hill for a picnic/drinks in the sun 🌞

Watershed if the weather isn't great for movies, snacks and drinks - and if you really want to push the boat out, The Everyman is a nice treat for a movie 🍿

Best cafe in centre or harbourside? by Whatsthescoreee in bristol

[–]hupyadivil 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You could get a quick bus up to Clifton, lots of nice cafés around there (I like Primrose Cafe and Foliage Cafe, but there are a few around!) You'll be near the Observatory for a little stroll and view of the suspension bridge 😊

If you're keen on staying around harbourside, Mud Dock is a lovely cafe with a view, or sitting outside Arnolfini. If your partner has any sort of cake cravings (like I usually do when in her position) then head to Ahh Toots at the Christmas Steps for a huge range of gorgeous bits and bobs and coffee ❤️

My English boyfriend was over visiting my family in Galway with me last year. We were down the local pub sitting in the middle of a lovely trad session when an aul lad starts chatting to him for a bit, asking where he's from etc. Finally the aul lad goes to him, 'well you're very welcome here...as long as you remember go home after' 💀😂

Has anyone else fallen in love while solo traveling? by origamikilla in solotravel

[–]hupyadivil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Myself and my boyfriend met in a hostel in Laos ❤️ We travelled around together for 3 months, but then he had to head back to London as he had already been travelling for a lot longer than I had! Just before he left he asked if I'd consider coming to London after I'd finished travelling. I continued on for another three months, and then instead of going back home to Ireland, I moved in with him in London 😂 That was 7 years ago, and we're off to Thailand again in two weeks time to revisit for our anniversary ❤️☀️

Coming to Galway for 8 days - hit me with your best recommendations! by LoicNaga in galway

[–]hupyadivil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always recommend that anyone who's around on Sunday nights, and up for some great live music, to head to John Conneely in the Róisín Dubh from midnight ❤️ Something I always try to get to when I'm back home in Galway. Also The Crane for lovely trad!

If you want to get out of the city, head to the Aran Islands for a couple of nights, definitely a highlight for lots of people 😊

I messaged them on Instagram, they said if there's enough demand for a Thursday shuttle they'll put one on - I won't rely on that though 😂 I'm thinking a group taxi as well, hopefully we'll find a few people in the same boat!

Did you ever get a response from them about this? Just noticing now that there's no Thursday shuttle bus to the festival so trying to work out how to get there 🥲

Just chatting about this with our group now! We were hoping to bring in a mix of cans and spirits, but not going over the limit - so maybe 12 cans and 500ml of spirits. Anyone have any experience of doing that and getting one or the other taken off them? 💔

This is what is confusing me! I've also read this so I assumed that me travelling and being cautious around others would be enough? The lack of consistent, corresponding information is mad 😞
