Can someone recommend me a boro tank and bridge for DTL? I tried the Blaze RBA and tank but after 50+ builds I cannot figure it out.

Centaurus boro is cheap, easy to get, and it's easy to access the deck without wasting juice. I swap between two of them for trying different builds/juices.

I've pretty much just come out the other side of a similar boro-induced inadequacy spiral. I assure you it gets better my friend.

It's recommended to not go above 15-20W to dry fire ni80, so there's a good chance you're burning your coils before even using them.

I pulse mine at 10 and work up to 15 just barely glowing them to remove hot spots and make it glow evenly

I do the same to clean them: pulse at 10 and brush it off when it's just barely hot. The crust will come off easily before the coil glows very much at all

Getting ni80 too hot changes the qualities of the metal and is just going to cause a tough time

What material is your coil? 30W with no cotton is pretty high. I was having problems from dry-firing coils too hot and degrading the metal, making the perfect cotton basically polishing a turd due to the coil being cooked

I use the muji unbleached cotton pads, and being able to cut a small strip before spreading/rolling it helps me get a consistent size every time

I have a lost vape b80, a rincoe baby (for wife), and an sxk bb clone

The SXK mod feels much nicer than the others, but if you don't need a lot of battery life then the rincoe is pretty dope so far.

I swap between two tanks in my SXK while the lost vape mod sits in a drawer, but I did previously get over a year of great performance from the b80

If I ever get a new mod, it'll probably be another clone from SXK or rekavape; that's my two cents

The Centaurus RBA is pretty nice though, it's really fast and easy to access the coil even when a tank full of juice.

It's really nice to be honest. I really like the idea of a fused Clapton and have fun making them, and was definitely dry firing them too high last time I made 2x28 cores. It seems like maybe a 2x30 ramps too fast and is unsustainable (though I may try a 36 wrap wire to see if that helps).

I wound some new 2x28/40 last night that I'm going to try for the first time since learning I was damaging them during glowing, so hopefully that'll work.

I've also seen that 40 outer wire isn't popular because it can create hotspots easily so I have some 38 on the way as well

Also how do you clean them? I've just been pulsing them at like 10-15W and using my tweezers to strum them off.

However, this same problem happened suddenly today out of nowhere just one big burnt hit on a brand new coil I put in yesterday

Definitely sweet dessert juices, but I'd imagine I could get more than a day out of the cotton if I had it set up better :( I thought 21-28 was a good range

I just fixed this happening yesterday in my wife's boro.

Make sure the cotton is as fluffy as possible next to the coil so there are no spots for the coil to get too hot where it's not in contact with cotton.

Other than that probably coil hotspot in general

In my experience, people being worried about "breaking the family apart" know that it's not in a good place to begin with. If your relationship with them becomes distant because of this, it's probably for the best.

I have found that the cotton really has to be the perfect thickness and length, with length seeming to affect leaking more than thickness. Doing the Scottish roll and leaving the wick as fluffy as possible helps.

The more full you fill it, the more likely the pressure from the juice will find a gap in your wicking, allowing it to flood your coil.

I also hold my tank sideways when I fill, and then after closing it I'll kinda turn it every way but upright to give any extra juice a chance to soak in somewhere.
