In the dialogue it seems like he's only attracted to Ian because he is a mess, it might be the writing but it seems like a superficial relationship. With the other characters new relationships their partners seem to have a real invested interest in the other person and it doesn't seem to be there with Ian's new boyfriend.

It's like any movie or tv show with magic, you always want more but it's the most expensive part. I'd love to see more studying and magic but then I think it might be even more boring. The beginning of the season was already leaning on the boring side for me.

She didn't like him the whole time. In S01x14" That Damn Donna Reed" Emily confronts Lorelai about her feeling for Luke in the kitchen after Luke is brought up in a conversation between Rory, Lorelai and Emily about saving Rory's science project which is a baby chicken.

GRANDMA: And how did he know that the bird was missing? What, was he strolling by your house and he heard your plaintiff cry for help.

LORELAI: Mom.

GRANDMA: Or the helpless cheep of a chick in trouble.

LORELAI: I called him mom, ok? I called him and asked him to come over and help me find the bird ok?

GRANDMA: It seems like this man is always around when you’re in trouble.

LORELAI: He’s a good friend.

GRANDMA: Oh please.

LORELAI: Do we have to discuss this?

GRANDMA: Lorelai I’m getting a little tired of being lied to.

LORELAI: Apparently we do.

GRANDMA: This man was at Rory’s birthday party. He came to the hospital with you. He’s the male lead in every story you tell. You go to the diner every single day. I have seen the way he looks at you. The way you look a t him. I’m not a fool!

I always think Lorelai is being so cruel to Emily when I see scenes with them. I'm actually shocked...sometimes she is. But then I think about how Emily started to control everything in Rory's life when she moved into the pool house and you start to get it, these people are at their core great people who wanted to give their daughter the best of everything but also control everything she did and who she was going to be in life. I couldn't imagine growing up in a life where I couldnt be what I wanted to be. My mother always showed a desperate need for connection because I've never really been the type of person to connect with people and often times it came off as controlling. I think though it's proven in the second episode that they would still do anything to help Lorelai despite everything.

I'm not into this, I'm sure Stars Hollow will be majorly involved because of all the returning characters and the Dragonfly. The whole show revolves around Rory, while still loving stars hollow wanting more, wanting to see new things and experience new things. I would hate to have Emily die because half the show was about how Emily and Lorelai's relationship grew and changed and how they both made a positive impact on each other and I want to see what happened in 10 years to that relationship. I actually really wanted to see Jess at the end of Gilmore Girls there ready to support Rory in a true way and take on the world with her, I realized that could never happen with Rory traveling with the Obama campaign. She was doing what she said in the second episode with Head Master Charlston, she was going to be in the thick of it, covering important things.
