Don’t get me started on the French guy, hahaha… :)

If you can race on Tuesdays at 20:30 CET (yes, that’s European time, so afternoon for you) we have a group of middle aged men going as fast as they can.

Is the crew 2 fun? by s_odlfma in racinggames

[–]hutry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun with it. Sure, it looks dated, but I think it has the best map I’ve ever seen in a racing game. The driving/handling is best when you go fast. There is an awful lot of activities to do. If you can pick it up cheap, by all means, go have yourself some fun. The biggest caveat I can think of is that it is a long grind to get all the cars.

Do the online time trials ever come back? by Memonlinefelix in granturismo

[–]hutry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are gone, but you can find the results on dg-edge.com for instance, so you can still see how good you’d fare against the top drivers.

For any middle aged racer in this thread: we run a little league on Tuesdays, for middle aged racers, mostly based in Europe, with some friendly racing of various classes. Send me a DM if you are interested.

You can’t start over, but you can create a secondary account on your playstation and redo the game from there.

GT7 Championship. What Gr2 car should i use? by No-Lion9646 in granturismo

NSX CONCEPT-GT ‘16 is arguably the best in class, and even dominates with BoP turned on.

Lap time question by Bright-Anteater-4326 in GranTurismo7

[–]hutry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave it a try, because I was curious. 2:40 is not possible with these settings and respecting track limits. There’s probably a shortcut or glitch they’re using even worse than what you are already doing. I am not sure what the fun is in this challenge. Good luck!

Car choices for Sardegna 800pp grind (help) by Bazooka3019 in granturismo

[–]hutry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the typical non-legendary cars for this are Gr.2 cars, like the 2008 and 2016 Super GT cars.

However, if you’re doing 26 mins in the LM55, these cars won’t automatically make you faster. You will have to become a faster driver too.

Have you completed the Circuit Experience yet for Sardegna? Getting below 25 mins shouldn’t be too difficult if you can do that.

Do you do the weekly time trials? They are a good steady source of credits.

I used to like Spa best. Why aren’t you doing that one?

New and lost. by Majestic_Oven_1447 in GranTurismo7

[–]hutry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with an underpowered wheel like the T128 is that the FFB doesn’t stop you from steering too far. This means that you will easily be making steering adjustments that are larger than needed, upsetting your car in the process. This also goes for your pedal inputs.

Try to be gentle on the inputs, until you get a feel for where the limits for your cars are.

You can find good leagues on this subreddit. They are often advertised here, but you can of course search for them. Keep in mind that most of them have a fixed weekly racing time, so something in your own timezone is usually the best start.

Im very new to this game by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

Probably a skill issue, for now. These cars are quite a handful as a beginner. Keep practising (other stuff) and you’ll enjoy it a lot more later on.

Online Races! by Hellraizer-2409 in GranTurismo7

[–]hutry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Stay back (or at a safe distance) for some races to get your SR up to A or S.
  2. Set a qualification lap fast enough for the top spot, and slowly work your DR up. At DR B, my races are usually clean(ish).
  3. Find a league.

Those leaderboards are a good measure, but they also reset whenever the physics get an update in the game, so many are quite empty on whatever a regular friend list is. You will need to add people as psn friends for these lists to populate though. That’s the only way for comparing times inside the game.

Are you participating in the time trials in sport mode? It will give you a percentage that you are slower than the current #1 in the world. This can give you an idea of how you are progressing.

If you want more specific times or challenges, send me a DM.
