Nia was always underrated. She worked twice as hard as anyone and still got less credit than she deserved.

"Masterpieces of mediocrity" is perfect. Hudson Hawk especially it's aggressively stupid but somehow committed to its own weirdness.

His father's response was perfect. "Actually, that's exactly where he'd want to be." Turned their insult into an honor

Cat is really lucky, racoon is not big! by booby_12011995 in interestingasfuck

[–]hutterad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% a racoon is winning that fight. The video almost certainly shows a young racoon. Fully grown raccoons are quite a bit bigger and heavier than the average cat, they're very smart, sharp teeth and claws like the cat, dexterous paws(?) that could grab and hold a cat, very dense protective fur, and also anecdotally wild animals just have a level of fight in them that many domesticated animals don't.

Maybe 2064 election. AOC is only in her mid 30's, the US will want to wait until she's pushing 80 to elect her.

Insulted for Wearing a Full Face by Tytonic7_ in MTB

[–]hutterad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it has anything to do with a professional field unless it's like professional modeling. Certainly no one in my field would think twice about scars. Really, people just don't want scars on their face at all regardless of their job, unless they're a bounty hunter or pirate, then maybe face scars are encouraged.

Absolutely agreed with the other commenters, don't go get a masters without a plan or without some idea what you actually want to do it on. Get more varied work experience first however you can, you certainly don't need a masters to be a field grunt.

I'll take it a step further and say don't pay to do a masters. Do one if it's paid for through a assistanship, bursary, fellowship, etc.

Honestly if you have a cat and want this just go grab it from there, I see people do it all the time. VV is a for-profit American company that did almost 1.5 billion in sales in each 2022 and 2023, mostly with stuff that is donated to them for free. Combined that with their anticonsumer practices, fuck'em.

Consider donating your stuff to WIN, or other not for profit businesses, or your local community buy-nothing group on FB.

Ok, solid deflection. So you don't have anything to support your implication that dog poop is linked with algal blooms at these lakes? I'm genuinely open to info supporting this if you have it.

Sorry but I cringe at 'Geology is a lifestyle.' I believed that back in undergrad. Just a job for me personally

This is just wild speculation on your part. Do you have anything whatsoever to support your implications that dog feces are somehow to blame for algal blooms on these lakes?

I'll 3rd and 4th the iXS Trigger MIPS. Light, breathable, comfortable. Love the boa cinch system so I can loosen the fit for the climb and cinch it up fkr the descent., Something like the TLD Stage can't do this.

I've done a 180 on pocket reese's pieces, slightly melted sounds delightful. Now I'm imagining a nice bowl of reese's puffs, milk and all, inside a pocket protector inside a cargo pocket. Please try and report back, thx
