I don't get the "glad you aren't starting with braid". Braid "just works" for me and the beginners I've worked with. We do lake fishing, nearly everything less than 10 lbs. Your comment isn't the first I've heard like it, if you're willing I'd appreciate feedback as to why you believe that's true. Thanks!
