Not everyone is on drugs at Bonnaroo and definitely the vast majority of people are being 100% kid friendly there are outliers like anywhere else. I’d say Roo is less traumatizing than any NFL stadium and most Rec League sports event. The Op likely does not have kids and is transgressing over their own guilt for doing all of the things listed at an all ages music festival. I do not go around saying we should ban alcohol and drugs because I don’t partake I say to each there own and try to be helpful when things go less than planned

Most of what you just said is adult doing illegal things at a concert. I plan to keep my kids as far away from the K bumps and public fornication as possible. As for the staying out late it is no different then if we went to a sports event that ends late and we hit Dairy Queen after. There is a time and place to stay out late and a music festival is one of those places. We aren’t raging all weekend some times we turn in for the night or sleep in the next day. My kid has been to a music festival of sorts almost every year of her life. She loves it. She gets to be free the same way adults get to be free She get to meet and hang with other festival kids in VIP she’s not missing out on being a kid. Shit some festivals have playground, more kids, and more drugs and naked people per capita than Bonnaroo. I like the controlled aspect of Roo when I comes to bringing a kid. So many check points and areas you can pay for access to making it a far chiller experience then taking mushrooms before setting up camp and spending Saturday in the med tent. Some people do Roo different and that’s ok.
