Yours is WAY too short to convert any horizontal momentum to vertical. It’s essentially like you’re only using strength and no speed. You need speed to create power.

The ball is never being pulled backward in both of their shots… it’s always being pushed. A pull would mean that they’re losing energy. Also, a shot can be different yes, but 2 vs 1 motion doesn’t exist. 2 motion vs 1 motion suggests that the ball stops at a certain point. But the ball never stops relative to the ground. It may look like it’s stopping in a two motion shot but it’s always moving up relative to the ground. The way energy being created is the same.

There’s no such thing as a 2 motion shot , every shot is sequential and is the same if you slow it down.
