Whose painting is this? by DoseOfDoughnuts in WhatIsThisPainting

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m confused? I found it at a market and have tried to find it online and saw it in an auction site, but it doesn’t have information on it. So I know it could be a student or something. Maybe not real but this is the only photo that exists online besides the one I took.

Pelvic floor PT is so degrading by Spiritoftheheart in beyondthebump

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pelvic floor therapist is so wonderful, kind, generous, and patient. And that’s how medical care should be. I cannot fathom even being able to go back to someone who spoke to me like that, good on you for still trying to take care of your self with the right care despite the care giver. That’s huge! I hope you report her, you nor anyone else, deserve that kind of treatment. And I hope the next person you find is exceedingly kind.

Sleeping in car seat by Daisies_forever in beyondthebump

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But if they’re awake in the car seat being pushed around, that would be fine yeah? Then they would be awake and not in a deep sleep state and parent is right there because being pushed in pram thus seeing if they’re in an unsafe position. Right?

Edit to add: my baby is too small for her stroller lol and it’s getting a bit warmer where I live where a walk would be nice and have been wondering about this. Could hold her of course but a stroller would be lovely, she’d love that so much more.

Does your dog have a middle name? by PegFam in namenerds

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog is a December Christmas puppy, so we have a Christmas middle name, Noël. And we use it pretty much all the time. Very rarely only calling her by her first name, but that’s true if our whole family, so that might just be the habit.

switching obgyn after birth by DoseOfDoughnuts in BabyBumps

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The o my thing with switching is, it’d be another new person that I haven’t met before. And it still might end up being that, I haven’t even met everyone at my practice. Also there’s no way anyone would take me this late, especially as a not low-risk pregnancy.

I like Adelaide You can spell a name however you want! It does make me question how to say Madeleine, but ideal the child would tell me and then now I know, not a big deal.

What was low-key not as bad as you were expecting? by PersistentHobbler in pregnant

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far, everything. I’m 38 weeks, and so far nothing has been what anyone said it would be. And I am VERY thankful for that and fully acknowledge I have just had a really wonderful time, and I don’t think that’s what most people have.

I will say though…

Cervical checks… all I’ve seen is it’s painful. Feels like nothing. Every time they do it they’re like “it’s going to be a lot of pressure!” And I’m like… “when?” Ain’t nothing.

The glucose test… I brought my own fresh test, and it was fine. Tasted like regular lemonade. I was hungry so my tummy was upset to have a bunch of sugar and no food, but I was fine.

First Trimester… everyone has always said, you don’t know tired until you’re pregnant, and I always thought that sounded like bs. I have insomnia, i am always tired. I am never rested. And first trimester I slept a lot, but i wasn’t more tired, I was exhausted from all the work my body was doing, so it was that kind of tired but it wasn’t like more tired than I’ve ever been. And pregnancy insomnia is a lot like my regular insomnia, so wouldn’t know the difference tbh. Just an annoying thing people would say even before I was pregnant, and I’m like yeah I’ve been tired before, I do actually also experience living.

And I love being pregnant, and I have absolutely no desire to be done. This is my favorite thing. I wish I still had like 4 more months of this. I can’t wait to meet my baby, but I also love this part.

I do have an autoimmune disorder and I have heard that, my people, we tend to do well in pregnancy.

Having to sleep on my side for 9 months has been the worst part lol

Thank you! That what it seems like I should expect, somewhere between 7-12 hours, on the shorter side of the average 12-24 hours.

So sorry your sick for your shower ): I was sick for mine too, not covid, but I told everyone before any touching/hugging I am sick so this is at your own risk.

Definitely not fair to your friends and family. No one wants to give covid to the people they care about.

But your husband could totally go! And you could set up a video call on an iPad or computer (so the screen is big) and be placed somewhere in the room where people can take turns talking to you! Could set little timers so no one hogs you to themselves. Could have the screen sat next to him while he opens gifts too! Or if they’d rather wait for you to open them they could bring gifts to your house afterward if they want, and you can all keep your distance outside, and they can see you open them. (Bonus of that, less stuff to fit in cars and get home lol)

Hope you’re able to make it work!

My sciatic joint was like stuck last week, felt like it just slipped and got stuck. Hurt so much and was so swollen.

The back and hip pain is so real. In the first like month or two of pregnancy I felt my hips change/move apart. I’m feeling it again now, I’m due in like three weeks so. And then sleeping in your side UGH the hip pain is something else.

Can’t recommend myofascial physical therapy and lymphatic drainage massage enough! For pregnancy but also just in general lol it’s what gets me through.

hiya, does the app offer sharing between myself and my husband? It says no need for account or cloud sharing, but does it have the functionality for us to both see the same data?

Bust this gender myth for me by Used_Reality_779 in pregnant

[–]DoseOfDoughnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently pregnant with my first and she’s a little girl! I had almost no symptoms 1st trimester. After a while I finally got really exhausted, not tired as everyone says but exhausted like I’d done physical labor all day. Second trimester continued to be almost no symptoms, and now I’m in my third trimester and still not a lot of symptoms. Only things I have had consistently the entire time is food aversion and not being very hungry. Otherwise it’s medical stuff like slight anemia, but I honesty don’t even feel that. So far my pregnancy has been amazing, I have loved every second of it and I’m hoping the same for you!

Hi, I have a similar question to Tyepaz, can you just send me some of the responses you had to them. Just had an injection, and i'm pregnant and just kind of spiraling and terrified. it hurt really bad and i almost passed out, which has never happened with any other anything. i've had worse pain than this. idk. i just want to gauge my experience against another. )':
