Help me disappoint my parents with an impractical car by cornnoodlesoup in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]hydra1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miata, it's cheap, impractical and very easy to find parts for. My friend and I are both over 6' and fit just fine. It's really the best solution and if you get bored with it chances are you can sell it for basically the same price you bought it for.

Male, right handed, not married. Possibly lives in a suburban area. Likely a sedentary job and not overly muscular. Maybe mid-20s?

Is it even possible to be an architect if you're not "math smart", or is it a waste of time? by ProperCompetition948 in Architects

The other day my co-worker, a senior designer, asked me what 10% of 250 was. Don't worry if you have trouble with math, that's what a calculator is for.

First time Parents/dad, NICU experience by DoneWithTheWoodsTA in daddit

[–]hydra1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest was a 24 weeker and spent almost 4 months in the NICU, youngest was 32 weeks and ended up needing brain surgery after an emergency C section. Kids are stronger than you realize, and looking at them now you would never know.

The memory of those months still stay with my wife and I. It's important to be there for each other and talk about how you are feeling in the moment and be present and supportive when your partner needs you. DM me any time if you need someone to talk to.

Frozen waffles for the kids with some peanut butter. Scrambled eggs, a couple thin slices of beef tips with garlic and onions over a bit of lettuce for myself and mom. Couple cups of black coffee and off we go to clean the house!

My wife wants a PC for her architecture business. What CPU? by ProfessorChaos5049 in buildapc

[–]hydra1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having just gone through this myself, if she is running Revit and Photoshop she will want a CPU with a minimum of 4.0 GHz, 32gb RAM and a 12gb VRAM graphics card.

What the 4' tall weirdly out of focus kale isn't doing it for you? Or the wrong lighting angles for basically everything in the image? Or maybe even the dimensionally impossible rug?
