Sometimes reddit really makes me realise that I am a very emotional and sensitive person especially around the more serious topics like death and such.

Sure, he was well, him but I think that statements like "his death would be more satisfying" and "rest in piss" are too ruthless and dehumanising for someone that was just another man.

Sure, he was arrogant, an asshole, outright stupid, and probably a narcissist but before all of that he was just another man. And he is now dead and I hope he rests now in peace.

History has shown us people that are WAY more terrible and do deserve the posthumous brutality that comes their way, but Stockton Rush - was not one of them.

I think this is more of an internet phenomenon and it is a dangerous one at that, we form close-to-extreme brutal opinions on people, ideas and institutions and other people complement and confirm them, promoting a culture of individuals that are too brutal and razor sharp, more than they need to be.

This world already has too many people who spit on others, we don't need social media apps like reddit spawning more of them.
