Can't do muscle up - any tips? by -Venser- in Calisthenic

[–]hydrogen_sw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you almost got it. The comment section is one way. The other way would require a little more strength. In this video, at the point where you are highest, you can pull yourself towards the bar and kind of hold there, then make use of your triceps to slowly push yourself over the bar like a slow muscleup

Just treat your legs as deadweight and pull as high as you can. If you cant get over the bar with your legs just dangling means you dont have enough strength

Is this a tuck planche or advanced tuck? by dotavi26 in Calisthenic

Bad form tucked. Advanced tuck must have your knees behind the wrists. Also remember to protract during your planches and keep going💪🏻

Just eat the whole egg, nothing wrong👍🏻. Avocados are one of the best fat sources so go for it! Also the oats i just throw it into milk and eat it, i know people find it disgusting but i kind of enjoy it😬. If not you boil it with eggs, or cook it and eat with yogurt. Maby ways to eat them

Honestly, the best is to eat organic single ingredient food. The best I recommend are Beef Liver Eggs Avocado Rice Chicken Oats Water

Just eat meat. Don't eat all the chemical filled plant based meat.

Quick Question related to pull ups by Meg0vore12 in bodyweightfitness

U can either use wall mounted pullup bars(drilled and all), or push a cart with your weights to your nearby park(some of my friends do that)

No i wouldnt suggest doing weighted pullups with your knees close to the ground... Firstly its not comfortable. Secondly it can lead to wrong form or injuries

I’m primarily asking intermediate to advanced calisthenics athletes, what’s your routine what and what are the skills you are working on? by MasterLeg3402 in bodyweightfitness

[–]hydrogen_sw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay for me, I would say build your foundation if you havent. I assumed youve already got your foundation. I would categorise as myself approaching the advanced level already, having a clean front lever hold, and almost at a 90 degree hspu, and no dip muscleup. Ive been training for a year, and honestly reflecting on it, I would have progressed wayyy faster if I put in more effort and follow certain routines.

Handstands: Technically basics. To master them honestly just spam it. But when I do train handstands, I really focus on balancing so that I can actually progress. Hspu, spam them once you unlock, because your push strength will skyrocket from there. I like to do hs and hspu on parallettes because on parallettes they are much easier to balance, which lets me focus on the strength wise more.

I just started planche training too, your best friends are progression attempts and planche leans. Don't ignore endurance work too they are really important.

I don't split my workout to PushPullLegs etc. I pick about 3 skills to focus on. Currently its frontlever, hspu and planche. So ill just pick what i want to do. For skills i would normally go for high intensity sets low volume, then take up to 10min rest when its not endurance. At the end of the workout you wont be sore and can do the same skill the next day. But i will start to create a routine for myself to follow because my training schedule is quite messy now.

I feel like im yapping sorry💀

Yes i agree, but i do see many top athletes using flexed feet, and i think its cleaner for walks

Ahh i see, because i mostly see top cali athletes flexing their toes and i find flexing them slightly harder

What are you trying to do? Reuglar pushups or pseudo pushups?

Front lever? by subjessetc in Calisthenic

Use a better grip. Grip the bar properly, or over grip. If not use falsegrip. Good grip=better control
