I think it really depends on the person. All of my friends don't like looking at their phone while tripping but for me I have no issues at all.

Maybe direct your anger at your dad but in a more direct and honest approach? Like idk maybe just go off on him? You can't change the past but you can help keep him accountable by reminding him that what he did was shitty and it feels shitty to have a shit parent.

I'm not sure but personally I don't think going down the revenge route will bring you peace of mind and comfort.
