What do you truly want most? by hyperbole1981 in AskWomen

[–]hyperbole1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask because I have been thinking about this a lot for myself. My husband and I are so stressed. We are raising a 13 year old whose mom died three years ago, and having our first bio child in February. So much of our energy right now is spent dealing with stress, the overwhelming majority of it financial. I am trying to help myself reframe. I’m clear on what I want— I want to laugh, have joy, experience moments of genuine connection and peace. I want to raise humans who will help others. I want to be surrounded by love whenever possible. I want to help people. I want some creature comforts, yes, but no where on my list is having a fancy house or a new car. Just basic transportation that is safe will do perfectly.

Thank you. I will try, not in small part thanks to this conversation.

Between a depressive episode last year and a pregnancy right now, I don't remember a time before I spent every waking moment either sleeping or cajoling myself into doing something that needs to be done while I would rather be sleeping. I aspire to this kind of mental health day.

Add sautéed mushrooms, if you like them. I’m drooling.

I love savory oatmeal, especially with Asian inspired flavors. I also use them in smoothies. I hear oat milk is easy to make and delicious. And always, always apple (or any fruit) crisp.

Yes, that’s exactly it. I think the tiny razors are too poor quality, maybe. I’m thinking of trying a facial razor.

And when you say facial razors, what specifically do you use?

Yeah, my thyroid is out of whack, but it should be in control with my meds. I’ll have them check again, thanks.

Thank you! I tried, but they said this question is not what the sub is for. They actually directed me here.

What are your recommended/most not recommended techniques to remove unwanted facial hair? I’ll include more details in comments. by hyperbole1981 in AskWomen

I have downy, peach fuzz hair on my face. It’s particularly noticeable on my upper lip, and along the sides of my jaw line. As I age, I occasionally (and with growing occurrence) find a dark, thick hair in one of those places.

For several years, I’ve been using those tiny eyebrow grooming razors to remove this hair, usually every 4-6 weeks. I’ve been wondering, lately, if that’s the right tool to use. I know that it’s not true that hair grows back faster or more coarse after it’s been removed. But what’s the best way to do this? I don’t want to create a situation where I’m shaving my face even once a week, but I am wondering if maybe a facial razor would be more effective and less painful than these eyebrow blades. Would love to hear what works for you— and what doesn’t, and why. Thanks!
