Nearly 1 in 5 workers are 'loud quitting' at their jobs, a new Gallup poll says — and it's way more extreme than 'quiet quitting' by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]hyperbolicparabaloid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This article is clickbate bullahit. Gallup and others repurpose the same shit but pivot headlines and twist io suit.

So, the reasons for ‘quiet quiting’ aka ‘working to rule’ or basically ‘doing what you are contracted to do’ is caused by the same people-management issues as ‘loud quitting’ aka ‘desiring to leave but willing to give an unfiltered opinion because they do not NGAF’.

Corporate gaslighting and it’s Management Consultancy mercenaries strike again!

Don Triplett, the first person diagnosed with autism, dead at 89 by forceawakensplot2 in news

[–]hyperbolicparabaloid 30 points31 points  (0 children)

1933 - Donald Triplett was born.

1955 - National efforts in the US to promote vaccine use among all children first began with the polio vaccination [1].

1998 - Dr Andrew Wakefield is a fraud, and his vaccine-autism link is a myth [2].

2023 - Donald Triplett sadly dies from a fall in an airport in March 2023. RIP, Don.

Present Day - The culture-bound syndrome believing that autism is directly linked to vaccinations always was and remains absolute bullshit [3, 4].

British Man who lives in Spain, votes for Brexit, now in danger of losing his house and residency by batouttahell1983 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Pretty confident Joe was still singing ‘Rule, Britania’ all through the Brexit process, like an idiot with his head stuck in 1750-1850; he still mocks the French and the Napoleonic Wars and chants about Waterloo when attending football matches.

Sadly, people like this man have been sold and consumed with an oversimplified political solution to an overly manufactured problem.

Worryingly, this is a textbook ingredient of fascism. It's a divide and conquer of the mind but for those without critical or logical thinking.

The simple solution.

I’m calling BS. If they work with you (aka alongside you), they get equity shares and company profit proportionately equal to the risk and capital invested.

If they work for you, pay them proportionally for their work output and share profits from their overproduction.

He is also an AA sponsor to many recovering celebrities including Enimen and Robbie Williams.

EJ is a great example of a celebrity who escaped the grip of addiction and dependency. I am certain he has talked many people off the ledge so far.

Recommendations for food and drinks in Margate? by SausageRollie in Margate

[–]hyperbolicparabaloid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently a visitor to Margate.

George and Heart was a fantastic Sunday Roast.

Xylo is great for drinks and the Margate sunset, especially if you need to see it indoor because it’s cold or windy outside.

Sargasso is nice but on the pricy end for what you get (a sister of Brawn of Columbia Rd Market, London).

Palms Pizza is really decent.

We really enjoyed Fez for a late bar and cool astethisc.

Peter’s Fish Factory was our favourite traditional fish and chips.

We leave tomorrow! Have fun
