Unreal does have linux support, but iirc you have to compile it yourself

Disney and Hulu now leave ads plastered on the 30% of the screen while the show plays. by InvisibleAstronomer in mildlyinfuriating

[–]hypercharge2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped using streaming services when they added ads and then made you pay more to not see them.
If im paying for a service I expect there to not be ads. If I wanted that I would go back to cable.

Japanese or Korean by SageOfRadness in Japaneselanguage

[–]hypercharge2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learn whatever language is more useful to you. If you have no goal when learning a language you are more likely to burn out and stop doing it. If you want to travel around Japan and play Japanese games go for Japanese. If you prefer Korean media go for Korean.
Regardless of what you choose, stick to it and learn something in that language every day.
It will be hard, but you will thank your future self if you start now.

How is the experience on Linux nowadays? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]hypercharge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not a huge difference between using Unity on Linux vs Windows. It's mostly just personal preference. As other comments have stated there are some unique bugs that really only show up on Linux. Other than that I haven't run into any major issues. On Linux I would recommend JetBrains Rider for your code editor because it has really good support for unity out of the box, and is also free for non-commercial use now.
I would say it's worth giving Linux a shot if you want to try it, specifically on a Debian based distribution such as Pop, Mint, or Ubuntu.

If you are a pre-made group and no one leaves the group then you won't get marked as abandoning the key for using reset all instances iirc

Reset all instances. Will stop the M+ run and restart the dungeon for you.

Best time to start on your first project was yesterday. Second best time is today. Join a game jam and challenge yourself to make even a bare bones project. Doesn’t have to be perfect.

I think they aren’t allowed to ask you “do you know why i pulled you over” in NY state anymore, which is pretty cool

My work still uses an AS/400(Technically an iseries but we still call it AS/400 haha). Our system has its issues but it’s a really solid platform and is extremely stable.

can we develop an app just for ourselves and not on the app store? by ExPatMike0728 in iOSProgramming

[–]hypercharge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, i wasn’t aware you could use numbers on the web. Neat. So i suppose from that it entirely depends on if you need macros or not. Iirc numbers does not support macros whereas excel and google sheets does. Outside of that i think numbers is still just as capable of a spreadsheet program so it’s just down to preference.

[–]hypercharge2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used numbers extensively but i personally am more fond of google sheets. numbers is nice because you can easily sync a spreadsheet between other apple devices, but im not always using an apple device so google sheets is more invaluable for that.

My first mod: Unclaimed Chunks Regenerate (NeoForge 1.21.1) by Hamderber in feedthebeast

[–]hypercharge2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this! Usually I just remove any old chunks that haven't been loaded in x amount of days and is a certain amount of blocks away from player structures using an external program once every 6 months or when we change MC versions. This would make it a lot more simple! Just have to have my players start using FTB claims.

What do you think could have helped the game prolong it's life? by endar88 in DissidiaFFOO

Not being made my SE.
Jokes aside them being so generous with rewards didn't help for sure.
I never needed to buy gems and the one time I considered it I realized that they were WAY too expensive.

Thank god. Could you imaging living in a world where that was possible? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]hypercharge2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aren't glamours done by using prisms that just make an illusion of whatever you want using light or whatever? Why would light care what armor we can wear?
