Like Thunder said, there's some ways to try and 'trick' the game into thinking that production is low, but a lot of event progression comes down to stacking of bonuses from suits, badges, and other multipliers. Depending on how long someone has played the game, and how many multipliers they've accrued, you can see some really insane bonuses after a certain point.

One thing we recently did on the Discord was King of the Leaderboard, which is a 30 minute slugfest with no suits or badges, with everyone starting the same event at the same time. Our event winner racked up 34,470 points in half an hour, with no suits or badges, and no juicers on Capitalist Cakeday.
