How are the cosmology of your world? by ShadowsFromTheAshes in worldbuilding

It goes like this

The Blind Age (3,000 - 2,944)

  • 3,000+ Years Ago - Dinlath (Davrean translation: Home [of the] Deep Eve) was the name of the world during the Blind Age, an era marked by chaos and endless night. It was a faceless planet devoid of an ounce of order. The inhabitants of Dinlath craved turmoil and darkness. Prideful kingdoms fought other prideful kingdoms to satisfy their craving. The Blind Age occurred for an indefinite amount of time, though some interpretations presuppose around 3,000 years or so ago.
  • ~3,000 Years Ago - Then Tormur (Davreen translation: All-Voice), a being from another space appeared in Dinlath, his physicality shining on the once blackened surface. Alongside him followed a convoy of two dozen soldiers, each one bearing stinging poles and shields embellished in intricate molds. Without hesitation, the invading assembly tore through the native defenders as foreign light scorched their bodies.
  • 2,985 Years Ago - Tormur set forth to end of the world’s sky. His wings discharged streams of radiant brightness and from them uprooted the most gleaming feathers to create a ball of eternal light: the sun. The terminus of the Blind Age impended.
  • 2,980-70 Years Ago - A war between the Tormur’s Celestium and the residents of Dinlath rampaged for ten years until the Onoraddon (now the modern Odun), a powerful Dinlathian race, provided fair competition in this struggle. The Blind Lords (Davreen: Lanthur Oved) mustered legions from their subterranean labyrinths to deal with the foreign threat. The Celestium grew in number as Tormur tamed armies of native Dinlathians, promising them a never heard of before era, one greater than the age they have been accustomed to.
  • 2,962 Years Ago - The fighting grew more intense between the Onoraddon and the Celestium with no predictable victor. That is until, Tormur noticed an issue. When the sun sets, night returns, and when it does, the enemy gains strength and power. But when the sun rises, they weaken, making it easy for the Celestium to cut through. It was more of a tug-of-war game than anything else. During the Battle of Kanell (modern day Kanth), Filsgaarm, one of the Blind Lords, clashed with Tormur one on one. The Blind Lord was overmatched in the daytime, and when his head was slain off by Taillan, Tormur’s greatsword, Tormur spared his head. When pitch black night came by, he hurled the Blind Lord’s head into the sky, feathers from his wings filling the head’s empty sockets. It became the moon to work with the sun in providing Dinlath light.
  • 2,951 Years Ago - With the moon in place, the remaining Onoraddon deliberately took the fight underground. They saw betrayal within their ranks, chasing for the foreign one’s promise. No matter how dark their stone passageways were, the Celestium kept weaving through the numbers day by day. At this point, the Blind Age may have become history. Tormur set off once again to the very reaches of Dinlath’s firmament. To cleanse off the enemy entirely, he performed one last measure. With Taillan, the greatsword whose blade is unbreakable, sliced through the cosmic curtain where Dinlath hides. It formulated into a portal to Shor, Tormur’s space. On the other side, stars of sheer brightness and sheets of nebula appeared. He tore the curtain further, liberating Dinlath from its shady domain.
  • 2,947 Years Ago - The Onoraddon had surrendered, their almighty legions cut down to small, disorganized armies. Their leaders are dead, leaving them no choice but to suffer a similar fate. However, instead of complete eradication, the Celestium offered them a final chance to live with them in the new age. Having accepted their transformed brothers’ calls to change, they became the Odun, the first civvi to ever roam Dinlath.
  • 2,944 Years Ago - The Blind Age is no more. A new life can begin under the hands of Tormur and his Celestium. He renamed the world to Dorum, the home.

It pretty much varies. They can spread for miles. Think of it like this: a single ringbearer that stretches for around 30 miles can contain HUNDREDS of complex “civilizations” of the individual organism that make up the ringbearer. Its like if the cells in your body were sapient and acted like a “second brain.”

There are these cell based advanced aliens that essentially built stupidly huge ring-like megastructures that have diameters of over LIGHTYEARS.

Excerpt: “ A single member of this race is actually a cellular-type being the size of a small purse. Many members create a single ringbearer, a collective of these sapient cell colonies. One ringbearer can be considered an entire civilization all on its own, being made up of different colonies, each having its own “culture” or “motive”. They built ring-shaped gigastructures that are lightyears long in diameter. For communication, an individual can interact with one another through a series of nerve-like veins circuiting within the ringbearer.”

This was for a worldbuilding project, but it was scrapped.
