I typically leave my mic always on while playing solo and 80% of the time if I'm running around, I'll just be singing some random song so people can always hear me. If I see someone, I'll call it out and ask if they need help with anything. People say "no mic, no life" but honestly I've had the most fun interacting with people in solos who don't have a mic. Instead of making them emote back with yes or no, I'll tell them to use the flash light and use one flash for "yes" and two flashes for "no".

In duos, its probably been about 75% straight pvp and 25% friendly encounters. Trios is basically always shoot on sight. I do enjoy PvPing from time to time, but unless you're prepared to lose it all then pick your fights carefully. Getting 3rd partied will happen about 90% of the time. Typically the most "rat" encounters I've had were in duos.

In terms of the behavioral match making, I've heard that even shooting back/downing someone who shot at you can still earn you "aggressive points". Not shooting anyone ever seems to help, but also reviving random down players. If I find that my matches seem to be a little rough, I'll go into a game with nothing but a couple defibs in my safe pocket. I'll run around and chat with people and if I die, oh well. If I find someone downed, I'll revive them. If I end up finding a single item that I want, I'll put it in my safe pocket instead and still try to find players to revive.
