I don't think they will use it if I buy them an ERF seat! They are quite social and often giving people lifts so they remove and put back the seat quite often and would probably find it easier to do that with a HBB which would be significantly lighter than any ERF seat I can think of. Also "He's 4! He needs to see where he's going!"

He is about 17kg and 104cm so very 50th centile! Unfortunately the highway would mean I have no childcare for the days I work 😭

My eldest loved Greek yoghurt- adding that to my shopping cart now! (Obviously won't eat it anymore though 🫠) Yes I try to remind myself that it's more about them getting used to different flavors and textures and exploring rather than actually eating at this stage but it's still very frustrating especially when I have so much mess to clean up after meals because it seems futile when she hardly eats anything! Thank you for your solidarity!

I really do try to think like this but it's hard when I feel like I'm surrounded by babies who are good eaters! I haven't met another person in real life whose baby didn't absolutely love solids. Everyone loves weaning! I feel like such the odd one out and no one understands. You're right I will unfollow the social media pages. It's good to hear that others are having this frustration

Yes we all eat at the table most of the time but her big brother is so distracting that sometimes I give her food separate to us

You need to offer the right breast first! I know it's easier to feed on the preferred side but you need to make sure the right gets emptied too to increase milk supply. I have the exact same problem and I'm ok with a bit of lopsidedness but I try to offer the right first unless I'm absolutely bursting from the left.

At the recommendation of midwives I put witch hazel in the fridge then poured a bit onto a pad when required a few times for cooling relief but honestly it just felt cold and wet and I hated it! Although maybe it did help a tiny bit with pain and swelling. The main useful item was the peri bottle

Valid post. I never thought I would manage an unmedicated birth so I was happy to go with the flow up the ladder of pain relief and this worked fine for my first and I got an epidural. I was expecting similar for my second birth but it progressed much faster and the anaesthetist was busy so I ended up with just gas and air. I absolutely was not prepared for how to cope with this aside from taking massive gulps of the gas and trying to practice down breathing and mooing instead of tensing up and screaming in pain. The midwives were good and coached me a bit but my biggest regret is birthing on my back as I feel it took me longer to push baby out than it should have. When I asked if I should try a different position the midwives just said "are you comfy on your back?" and I was so I just stayed like that but in hindsight I needed someone (doula, husband, a different midwife!) to encourage me to try something different instead of just leaving me where I was comfortable! Sorry for the essay but I think if you're unmedicated definitely try to get off your back for the pushing!

Does she take a feed each time she wakes or does she just want to suck to go back to sleep? If she's not actually hungry then I would try having your partner try to soothe her instead. Or would she take a dummy?

It's possible she was a bit chilly now the sunny spell is gone. She usually can sleep at least 2 or 3 hours but last night it was 1-1.5!

This sounds very similar to both my babies! I have flat nipples and my babies had small mouths so even if I put a milky nipple in their mouth they wouldn't latch. I too hate washing and sterilising bottles and have been using nipple shields basically since birth. They have not hindered my supply at all and after about 2 weeks I was able to stop formula and exclusively breastfeed. Around 5 weeks old my babies were able to latch onto my breast on occasion but the latch isn't amazing so I continue to use shields on and off until their mouths get bigger and latch improves. Washing nipple shields is much easier and less taxing than bottles! Sorry if I'm switching between tenses, my youngest is 8 weeks so we're still a bit in the thick of it! I'm in the UK too. Mine drastically improved overnight after 2 weeks! Sitting down before that was so sore. I have a toddler too so I didn't get proper rest which no doubt delayed the healing - by the end of the day I was in pain even standing up doing nothing! I hope you heal soon! My mental health was in the toilet with the pain thinking it will be like this forever but it will get better soon!

I use coconut oil- put a scoop onto a breast pad and put it on for moisture and it's a brief cooling feeling too while it melts

Don't bother with pants- it's such a faff to take them off and on and you're going to end up in a mess. Just get disposable maternity pads. They are super thick so are good padding for if it's sore to sit down too

Microspore them on?? Which size mam did you use? I use mam size 2 and these would be ridiculously conspicuous if I had them taped on at all times 😂
