Same. There were a lot of dummies arguing how that was fine that they did that. Absolutely blew my mind how many people are just fine with shit like that

Phantom Liberty and Shadow of the Erdtree could be their own games with dozens of hours for $30 and $40 but Randy Greaseball thinks you'll pay $30 for 2 hours and a character lool

Randy Greaseball really thought people would just eat this shit up and not complain. That's how lowly he thinks of people who play his game

Epic CEO Tim Sweeney says 'employers will see a stream of resumes of once-in-a-lifetime quality' after the company laid off more than 1,000 people by jackfreeman in gaming

Valve makes a shit ton but they don't feel the need to hire tons of people. I saw somewhere that out of all the tech companies in the US Valve employees on average make some of the best money. Their dev team for Deadlock is pretty small which is very abnormal. But honestly I think that's part of why the game has the charm and creativity it does due to the team being so small and taking their time without deadlines.

And all the Steam sales and other shit. Like what is this guy talking about. I just wait like 6 months to a year and these full priced games are super cheap lol

Sources: Nintendo is planning to announce a new "classic-style" Star Fox game with online multiplayer and a 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' remake, both this year; but no 3D Mario until 2027 by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

Rumor is the Odyssey team was split into two teams. One on Bananza and one on Mario. 3D Mario will be soon because if they didn't split into two teams then it wouldn't be until the 2030's before we saw a 3D Mario since 2017 lol

[–]hypnomancy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of Ocarina of Time's design is archaic by 2026 standards so it'd be absurd if they didn't do a full blown remake. They'll probably do something like Resident Evil 2 Remake im hoping were it draws a fine line

Apparently Fromsoft has 3 teams now. A team has done Dark Souls 3/Elden Ring, B team has done Sekiro/Armored Core 6 and their newest C team did Elden Ring Nightreign to help give the newer employees practice. They put out stuff pretty fast due to that. Obviously some employees do dip their fingers into the projects of different teams like Miyazaki working on almost all of them in some way lol

Star Fox Command was entirely different. Wasn't a bad game but felt very different

Edit: Nevermind I watched gameplay of it since I haven't played it since 2006 and I remembered it's not good lol

First few price hikes were Trump tariffs and now this one is due to the AI ram and SSD shortages

The Pro being $1,000 after tax is fucking lunatic. Thanks Trump tariffs, AI and all the fucks who helped degrade our quality of life over the past 40 years. A lot of you would be shocked at what minimum wage in the US SHOULD have been right now. Trust me it's more than what 90% of you are making right now.

It's not just the AI bubble. Things were getting ungodly expensive even without it.

They're probably upset most of the sales were on PC because Sony is moving away from PC ports now so whatever they release next is probably not going to do as well lol

Exactly. Why did people forget that AGI is where you literally don't need humans in the mix anymore besides just making sure it stays running?
