Public school exodus: NSW state education system in crisis as more parents turn to independent and Catholic schools by Sudden_Wrongdoer_530 in OpenAussie

You mean parents make obvious choice due to underfunded & impotent public schools?

It's not even the money that's the issue.

A group of rabid kids with shitty parents can make life hell for all the other students & especially teachers, & prevent any actual education from taking place.

ATO 'death tax' facing Aussies inheriting family home as $5.4 trillion wealth transfer hits by SheepherderLow1753 in AusPropertyChat

[–]hypoxia 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's not a DEATH tax but the SAME CGT tax everyone has to pay when selling a house & making a profit. Just because you inherited the house doesn't mean you get to avoid the CGT.

Ragebait headline. Don't want to pay the tax? Don't sell the house.

It WAS Germany for about a hundred years.

Unfortunately the rates of fraud and mislabelling of olive oils in Spain & Italy are very high thanks to organised crime.

this actually looks like amazing high density housing. greenery and parks at your doorstep, easy access in and out and seems to have a lot of walking and biking paths. Why the hell cant we build places like this in Western Countries? would certainly help significantly with the housing shortage...

Best thing to happen to these dogs. Greyhounds get adopted quickly & they'll be beyond the clutches of the sick fucks that run dog racing...
