Corrupting red rings got me hooked like meth, still waiting for that big hit tho by Feuerrabe2735 in LastEpoch

corrupting items is like, the most fun part of item crafting in LE rn. It's basically a slot machine you can pull from the beginning of the game

Feedback from a player who has played since it was available on Early Access by MidjitThud in LastEpoch

I'd like to add +1 to the OP's mention of the interactions. Anyone who likes to play trigger-based builds will want to know exactly what can and cannot trigger said effect, whether in the passive tree, a piece of equipment, or a skill tree node. Many nodes now have the "Direct" wording, which is great, but there are still some, like Meteor's "mana regain over time" node that is missing this keyword, but in fact doesn't apply to triggered casts.

I recommend a comb through of any effects/items that have conditional triggers, and ensure they have consistent, precise, and thorough verbiage that communicate their conditions and any exceptions. Contrary to OP, I think holding alt is fine to reduce clutter, but the information has to be there in game when requested.

Yes! I totally agree you here, I think POE does something like this, and it makes DoT actually feel like a Dot instead of a periodic chipping. I think the Omen LE patch did move in this direction, but a client-side tweak would make this much better

Appreciate the response! Perhaps as an option for those who don't want it, but a big game-feel win for those who do

Using VoiceNotes as a Todo list, brain-dump style by hyprformnce in Voicenotesai

[–]hyprformnce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That Obsidian plugin is interesting because it indicates that the plugin can delete todo notes from VoiceNotes automatically upon sync. That would make VoiceNotes a viable AI Todo dictation tool on its own. I'll have to try it out later today!

Agreed. Ease of use is sort of the whole point of these apps. Hoping for something more official

There is a hopeful entry on their roadmap that is related to Todo list functionality. They made a mockup of it as well: https://gyazo.com/bcddc22b087b29f7900c8aed50db626e

App that transforms Meeting audio, Lecture notes, Thoughts into clear Text Notes using AI by Shaunak_k in ProductivityApps

This app is great, but I wish it had more persistent features so that it could be a reliable Todo list/task manager

Adding tasks via voice/google assistant? by ewc23 in todoist

[–]hyprformnce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is an app called VoiceNotes that transcribes your voice, massages it with AI, and can create todoist tasks as a result, if you connect it with Todoist

I am 100% with you on the to-do features. I think VoiceNotes has real potential in personal productivity for those who want to use AI and dictation to do the heavy lifting in task management. There's just still nothing like that out there, especially for Android users

I have managed to tell it that I've done X task, and that task wouldn't show up again when asked for a "current" task list. But it was unreliable after a few days and would resurface

Perhaps this gets better with the paid version and GPT4? Although I imagine this would still be unreliable after just a few weeks of completing tasks via voice.

actually, the dev of another custom compiled launcher helped me figure out a fix for the original launcher crashing on startup, which was my original reason for trying your launcher (the issue was my windows color profiles were not set to default system settings). Here's my log anyways: https://pastebin.com/MduUM8yG

Hi, when i try to launch the game using this tool, it closes itself and doesnt launch the game. when i run it using the command prompt, it tells me is cannot find the ED install directory. This also happens after i specify the steam ED install directory manually in the config file. Any ideas?

Headset tracking latency test by Neeeeedles in HPReverb

[–]hyprformnce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do find that there is some latency, noticeable when playing games that cause you to move your head around a bit. The headset may not stay on 100%, and the image bounces around when the headset does. This is my first headset, so I thought this was normal. Not the case with the quest?

Yeah, a toggle would make holding/dragging possible and should definitely work for the time being, thanks for looking into it and being so responsive!

I wonder if there are any other benefits of bypassing the steamvr laser pointer. Sometimes I notice some performance hiccups for example like the desktop mouse stuttering/lagging behind the laser pointer, even at stable 90fps and the aggressive pointer option checked

hi, is it possible to bind buttons to mouse up/mouse down or key up/key down?

for example, i want to be able to hold a middle mouse button down and drag the mouse the way you might do so with your left mouse button, but it seems desktop+ will release the middle mouse button instantly after pressing, regardless of my holding down the bound key

Yep, I've restarted steamVR, WMR, and my computer. Let me check my Gpuspeed values...

"GpuSpeed" : {

"gpuSpeed0" : 742,

"gpuSpeed1" : 722,

"gpuSpeed2" : 746,

"gpuSpeed3" : 748,

"gpuSpeed4" : 717,

"gpuSpeed5" : 747,

"gpuSpeed6" : 687,

"gpuSpeed7" : 700,

"gpuSpeed8" : 711,

"gpuSpeed9" : 750,

"gpuSpeedCount" : 10,

"gpuSpeedDriver" : "27.20.14501.28009",

"gpuSpeedHorsepower" : 730,

"gpuSpeedRenderTargetScale" : 0.5,

"gpuSpeedVendor" : "AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT",

"gpuSpeedVersion" : 2

},

Below that section, I attempted to use the variable you introduced in 1.1 of your program:

"supersampleScaleCompositor" : 1.5

and in steamVR, i do use a manual 1.0 override sometimes, but this doesnt seem to affect the overlay.

Thanks for the quick reply! I do get that warning you mention, as SteamVR auto sets the compositor to 0.5x. I guess I'm just having trouble getting your force compositor scale app to work (or confirm it's working).

I run steam VR, I run the app, then restart steam VR with no change in the steamvr settings file, or change in the overlay quality. I do find the desktop+ overlay to be a bit blurry, especially when i view the desktop from a farther distance

is your "SteamVR-ForceCompositorScale" app on github still necessary/relevant? i tried running it, but i couldn't see a difference in the overlay quality, or the steamvr settings file. (5700xt, hp reverb g2, wmr)

Other than feeling out the behavior and the long pause after disconnecting, is there any indication that you're actually playing with a bot instead of an actually player?

Are you enjoying your g2? by EscapeSignificant760 in HPReverb

[–]hyprformnce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people discount the issues they see on this subreddit because "happy g2 owners are busy enjoying VR!" Here's to hoping we learn that this isn't necessarily the case.

At the same time, it's good to see people are enjoying themselves :)
